So good to see you post, Sveta! You look amazing in flares -- they make the most of your height and are softly structured. And I'm always going to love the Danier!
I think wide-leg Hepburn trousers are a great choice for you, but perhaps this just isn't the right pant? I think the fabric needs to be that perfect balance of weight and drape. What's the fabric content?

First, the first outfit, the reverse Angie, is amazing. You need to repeat this one often. The color combination is fun and interesting.
The second outfit, to my eye, may be missing a third piece for balance. You look great in flares. I wonder if adding a jacket or your long vest would be what it takes the outfit from attractive to fabulous.

Thanks Beth Ann. The trouser fabric is very lightweight wool so maybe it does not have enough weight?

First outfit looks great! Love the colours, the pants, everything about it! The second one I'm not so sure about... Can't put my finger on it, but I like the first so much more... Maybe the others are better at helping with what could improve the outfit!

The inspiration trouser outfits all have quite dramatic tops. What about trying your long vest over the blue shirt?

Love the first outfit. I like the trousers in the second outfit but as others have said I think the top may be holding you may from amazing. Not sure. I have always been a fan of the Kate Hepburn look.

I looked at your inspiration pictures more carefully and I really like the one with the black top and rust pants. It is volume over volume but might look good on you with a semi tuck if you have a black top like that.

Photo one is fabulous and shows your great figure to perfection. Photo two....I don't know...it looks very like your inspiration photos, but the silhouette seems bottom heavy some how.

The flared jeans in #1 look perfect and so does the entire outfit. #2, well, I'm not sure. I think it's the drape of the fabric. In the inspiration pics, the fabric seems to relax back onto their bodies more.

Where's a crash helmet when you need it? #1 could be the cover of Vogue - absolutely divine!
#2 - seems like too much material in the hip area. I think it's the weight of the fabric not draping properly. What does your wise mama say?

Ooooh! Outfit one is super fab on you. Just gorgeous. I can easily imagine a version with white flares or wide legs, too.
Re #2 -- don't get rid of the trousers yet. I think the 3rd piece and/or more dramatic top/ topper may be the way to do. Worn with the more classic skirt, our eye is drawn to nothing but pants. It's possible that the weight or drape are off, but I would keep experimenting. Based on the inspiration photos, it seems you are going for something a little different than the classic 40s look that a button front shirt immediately suggests? For that, the trousers would have to be higher waisted, anyway.

I'm humbled to inspire the first killer look. You look so fresh and healthy, Sveta. And the confidence oozes from your pores. Each year, you become even MORE stylish. You are GORGEOUS.
To answer your question about the camel pants. They're too baggy in the crotch, hip and thigh area and don't drape in a crisp way - probably because of the fabrication. The models are wearing their versions with a lower rise - either with an untucked top that visually shortens the rise or with a short rise - which looks more masculine. The high rise on your pants looks more feminine and thus a more tailored fit will probably look better.
You are beautiful in that shade of bright light blue.

Sveta, you look amazing in those jeans! Wow, wow, wow. The colors of the outfit are gorgeous on you, too.
I think your outfit in 2 is very much like the gold pants and ivory blouse outfit in your inspiration photos, so I couldn't figure out what's different. I suspected it's a matter of the photography more than anything. Angie's points are so illuminating--things I would not have thought of. I have a lot of trouble trying mimic the Kate Hepburn trouser look, too. It's so deceptively simple looking.

Sveta, Angie nailed it down regarding the camel pants. Flares (especially non-denim ones) are so tricky - I hope you'll find your perfect your perfect pair.
#1 is gorgeous obviously. :)

#1 is drop dead gorgeous! Angie has explained well how #2 does not seem right, and yes, to me there is too much fabric around hips, I agree. I crave a little more structure to the look.

You are a knock out in #1, Sveta!
I can totally see you dressed like your inspiration pics for flared pants. These pants aren't quite right, so it's time to shop for the ones that are perfect for you.

Sorry I am only replying now - it was the garden cleaning marathon day as with being away and sick I could not do it earlier.
Thank you for providing your opinions on my troublesome camel wide legs. You all helped me to realize that it is time to move on and leave them behind instead of trying to make them work. Angie, as usual your insight cause the light-bulb moment. I went to try them on once more to see if I can wear them lower on the hips. Unfortunately no, they are really high waisted (but on me not "real" high waisted but just high).
They are in the donation bag now.
Now I need to make sure that I don't make the same mistake with the cropped pair of trousers I am looking for - that it looks better in my head than on my body...:-)

Your outfit is gorgeous and I defer to Angie's explanation of what is bothering you about the camel pants.
