WIW: mostly repeats but why not?:-)

This WIW is "post and run": I am leaving on a business trip early tomorrow morning (5AM) for the rest of the week and don't know how much access I will have to YLF. Please forgive me if I don't reply for the comments promptly! I think most of these outfits are repeats or almost repeats so not much new here...

#1 Winter white again. I wore almost the same outfit with python booties- this one is with taupe suede booties.

 Cream chunky sweater - Gap
Cream skinnies  - Banana Republic
Taupe suede booties - Sam Eldeman
Silver tote - Danier

#2 Another almost repeat but for booties and belt. I like python booties here better than the taupe  but I think that silver belt looked better here than this studded white. Well, third time the charm and I will get everything right then!:-)

Orange / grey cashmere sweater - Winners
Plaid trousers - Banana Republic
Python booties - Sam Eldeman
Dove satchel - Danier

#3 I think Angie's post on pastels prompted me to wear my only light denim option. Now looking at this outfit I think that if I wore my python booties that day it would be an illustration for Angie's Friday pastels ensemble. In my defense I have to say that I wore this 2 days before the Friday post :-(

Ink boxy t-neck - Club Monaco
Kut BF jeans- -Nordstrom
Red Munro booties - NAS
Silver tote - Danier

#4 I liked Angie's grey, lilac and black ensemble so much that I ordered a lilac Tippi sweater from JCrew that very day. I like purple color in all incarnations and it is a very good color for me but I have dismally small amount of it in my wardrobe (here is I am looking at you with a hope, a Year of Radiant Orchid!)
Remember I complained that I have problems styling this knit blazer? I think I found another formula with it which I like!

Grey knit blazer - Gibson
Black Martin skinnies - Banana Republic
Lilac Tippi sweater - JCrew
Black  satchel - Danier
Silver pumps - JRenee (changed into them at work from my winter boots)

#5 This is a total repeat of one of the older outfits - the day was bitterly cold and tall boots and heavier moto felt just right.

Cobalt wool moto jacket - Gap
Grey tunic - Max Studio
NYDJ ponte pants - NAS
Black Blondo boots
Silver tote - Danier.

Thank you for looking and as usual any comments and suggestions are very welcome.

Have a nice week!

These are all great, but the one with the new Tippi is sensational! What a great interpretation of Angie's formula. And I will be waiting along with your for radiant orchid to make it to our stores. We will go on a big shopping spree when it comes.

I also love #1. I wish I could wear my GAP sweater more successfully. I do wear it now and again, but I need to layer another turtleneck underneath or it itches like mad, and it has also pilled beyond belief.

Good luck on your trip! Safe travels.

Good luck on your trip -- hope the weather doesn't snarl things up.

You look lovely in all of these as I really like your new Tippi!

While you can do no wrong, #4 with the difficult to style blazer is my favorite of the bunch - I think it is the orchid and the streamlined silhouette. Of course #1 is another favorite, since I am a lemming with the same pieces!

Killer all round, although #2 is the one that launches me into orbit - again.

You and Inge are lilac Tippi twins. So gorgeous.

  • Gigi replied 10 years ago

I love the lilac! It looks great on you and reminds me that spring will eventually get here.  :^)

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

These are all gorgeous and absolutely repeat worthy. I honestly like them all for different reasons and couldn't pick a favorite.

  • Karie replied 10 years ago

    Oh, I adore #2 and #5! And #1 and #4! Ok, wait, I also love #3...

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

I love every outfit. Lilac is luminous on you, but I also love the winter white of #1, the brightness of #2, and the dark neutrals of 3 and 5.

Nothing wrong with repeating awesome outfits!  Stunning.  That cobalt leather jacket is SO amazing.

  • Debbie replied 10 years ago

Love these outfits and I am going to copy your first outfit!

  • kellygirl replied 10 years ago

So fab, Sveta! You have such a terrific sense of style. Everyone of these is a winner--repeats or not!

  • Ingunn replied 10 years ago

I love them all! My favorites are #2and #4. The Tippi sweater would be great for me, too. Like you, I have way too little purple and lilac in my wardrobe.

  • El Cee replied 10 years ago

You look amazing in ALL these outfits. I am swooning over #2. The cobalt leather jacket in #5 is absolutely stunning.

#1-Tough for me to decide which booties I like better with this outfit.  They python was great, and so are these taupe one's.

#2-Everytime I see this striped orange sweater I wish I had gotten it myself, the orange is so fresh and fun.  You just don't see that color very often.  I like the outfit remix you described here.  Isn't it funny how sometimes you just have to keep tweaking a look?

#3-Black with lighter denim is one of my favorite outfits and one I sport a lot myself.

#4-I think you have figured out how to style this knit blazer.  I always prefer a soft knit (or t) paired with a knit blazer.  A crisp shirt contrasts too much with this style of blazer. This is my favorite pairing of this blazer I've seen you post and lilac is superb on you.

#5-Tall boots are perfect for cold days.  And a nice bright blue is so happy when it's dark and dreary outside.

    A great week!

#2 is so fabulously awesome that it would be a shame not to repeat it!  I hope your trip takes you somewhere warmer than here.

A long winter with lots of work wear really tests any wardrobe --- you find out just how well you've planned when you need to look good every.single.day.  And you have nailed this challenge, Sveta, with looks that serve your cold winter but still light you up and don't look like you've just discarded you parka over the back of the couch!

Loving #4.  It gives me inspiration!

  • replied 10 years ago

What a gorgeous set of outfits. My favourites are 1,2 and 4. I do love your sweater in 1, fab!

  • unfrumped replied 10 years ago

Every one is fantastic. I love your "almost" and sub'ing in this belt or those shoes--shows how much versatility you've collected.
The patten mixing in 2 is fab, and I want to copy color palette in 4.

  • Sona replied 10 years ago

wow. wow. wow. When you have a wardrobe like yours and your innate sense of style that works perfectly on you the why not becomes rhetorical even.

    wow again.

  • Ornella replied 10 years ago

    Elegance, thy name is Sveta.

I am crazy - c.r.a.z.y - about #3. Four great individual pieces in one fabulous outfit.

But basically, have all these on repeat as much as you like, I'm taking notes.

    Off to faint now!

  • Gracie replied 10 years ago

Ah, all these are so worth repeating again and again. My favorite ones are 5 and 4 – and the beautiful bags are a great complement to all. I hope you have a successful trip!

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

I love all of these too - #2 & #4 are (just) my favourites. YLF as always.
