WIW - back to the grind!

It has been 3 days back from Seattle but I am still walking on the clouds. However I need to get back to daily work grind and to reality of changing weather (Winter Is Coming!)
I have already posted one of the outfits from this week with the dress bought in Seattle. Here are the remaining two.

pic 1-3 Angie's ensemble in action
I have missed a lot of blog posts for those 3 weeks and now need to catch up. This is one of the rare occasions when I had all ingredients in my closet - Paige Canyon flares, Pleione cross-over top, Gap moto jacket...And look, I shopped my hubby's closet and found a perfect belt to match my chestnut booties (as per this blog post) :-)
I have included a rear view for both tucked in untucked version. Before my firm preference was untucked back but now with my new size I am experimenting with the full tuck as well. Which version do you prefer?
(Inge, I think the bright pink of this blouse is in the same color family as the raspberry pink of the dress I tried on at Macy's - no?).
pic 4 Farewell to Summer
It looks like today was the last day of the warm weather and it will be all downhill from there. I decided to give a last whirl to my summer clothes before I pack them away for the winter.
These are my "best fitting" slouchy pants from this summer. After bringing back a whole load of pants for a "new me" it was weird to don these very loose pants again. I still like the fit of baggier trousers but want them fitting better on top - just fluid and tapered in the legs.
Thank you for looking and as usual all comments and suggestions are very much appreciated.
This weekend is going to be a "closet revision" one :-)

You look sooo long and lean in #1, wow. I think the back views are both good; tucked is a neater more polished feel, and untucked is a looser more laid back feel. Great steal on the belt, the weathering is superb. Did you do your hair differently there? It looks extra spunky. The second outfit looks so soft and slouchy, in all the right ways. I'm so bummed I didn't pull the trigger on those cream oxfords! The slouchy trousers still look good to me, a perfect change up in silhouette.

  • Runcarla replied 9 years ago

OMG! You look so good on so many levels in these outfits.

  • Sveta replied 9 years ago

@ Aida: Heh-heh about the hair - I was running late for my first day back to work and just put some mousse in it without blow drying :-)
I still like the slouchy feel but crave a closer fit on the hips - and these pants are quite loose now - they were fitting perfectly backin June when my mom taken them in.
I feel you on cream oxfords: I feel the same about navy 2 zipper loafers from JCrew I did not pull the trigger for this season...:-(

Hah WELL I think you have found a new (and easy!) way to do your hair when the outfit calls for something a little sassier ;) I hear you on the pants, I need to get more properly fitting pairs myself. It's hard. But that said, it's really nice having that super slouchy option on some days and I'm glad that I kept some of my slouchier pants from when I was a bit bigger. I don't see those as TOO much slouchy on you, so even if they feel it they don't look it. Kind of like how BF jeans are a nice change up from skinnies after wearing them all winter.

Sveta, you look great. I hate to say it but you might need some smaller pants. That striped top is great.

  • dashielle (Ann) replied 9 years ago

Aida's right, you look nine miles high in #1, and you seem to have a new glow about you. Loving your new finds :-)

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 9 years ago

Two great looks, Sveta! I especially love those jeans on you, and both versions (tucked and untucked) are great. I'm really liking the darker colors here--maybe I'm just ready for fall.

  • Caro in Oz replied 9 years ago

Loving these looks on you. You look so modern with a dash of dramatic :)

  • abc replied 9 years ago

Funny, I was thinking long and lean and then I saw Aida's post and she said the same thing! Looking so great here. Both tucking options work IMO.

  • Beth Ann replied 9 years ago

Holy cow!  I know you struggle with length in trousers and jackets, but there are times when having such long legs really amps up the style in your outfits!  You look terrific in both outfits -- the color and silhouette of #1 makes me extra happy (and I have that jacket and love it!).

  • MsLuna replied 9 years ago

Oolong Sveta, outfit 1 is my favourite! You just look absolutely fabulous!!!!!! I love the colour combination/contrasts and I just love how you mixed the fluid top with the jacket! If I can ever find a crossover draped blouse that worked on me, I am soooo copying this outfit!

  • jackiec replied 9 years ago

You look so great, Sveta. Laughing at ummilila's comment - yes you could use new pants and sounds like you've done just that at SSIF :). Show it off - you look amazing and are glowing.

  • Tanya replied 9 years ago

I absolutely adore #1.  You look so tall and lean in it, I think that flares are a great look for you.  Love #2 as well, the soft shades are very pretty.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

What Beth Ann said! Long and lean is the word. I am surprised that nobody has come knocking on your door to be a runway model. You are gorgeous!

I'm completely over the moon about #1. Amazing on you. And what a great score with hubs' belt! It works perfectly. You can tuck completely or not, whichever you wish -- both look wonderful.

And I hear you on the pants in #2. They still look good in the photos, but I understand how IRL sometimes there can be a sloppiness. So sad to say goodbye to summer, the it's time to batten down, I fear.

  • Jeanie replied 9 years ago

Wow, you are totally rocking in #1!  Those jeans are amazing on you.  Funny, my favorite chestnut belt is a mens belt from a garage sale.

  • Deb replied 9 years ago

Perfection Sveta. I love both looks and you wear them very well. I really do like your style. Your weight loss is noticeable......well done!

  • Style Fan replied 9 years ago

I love outfit #1.  It looks amazing on you.  Your legs go on forever.  Such a great look on you.  Slouchy pants are so comfy.  I live in them but flares are so beautiful on.  I love those boots.

  • replied 9 years ago

IKWUM about still walking on clouds after Settle!

I love, love, love both of these outfits Sveta! I love both tucked and untucked shirt options in the first outfit. As Aida said the untucked version just gives a slightly more relaxed vibe, so I would just go with how you feel on the day.

  • cheryle (Dianthus) replied 9 years ago

Both fab outfits Sveta.  I was sure I was going to prefer the tucked version and then I expanded the pic and found I like them both equally well.  I like the tailored white shirt with the moto very much too.  You do look magazine worthy and everything is in its place.  By that I really mean that your collar stays where you want it and the belt width looks perfect for the outfit and emphasizes your new slender shape.

  • frannieb replied 9 years ago

Another that both outfits look great on you. Wow wow wow with outfit one - You were turning head all day with that outfit. I also could pic tucked over untucked both work with a different feel.
Outfit 2 is also great - you were slouchy as well as long and lean. In pictures it isn't reading as sloppy.

  • Zibbets replied 9 years ago

Wow, Sveta. You have miles of legs! Gorgeous! That striped top is fantastic with your perfectly-worn jeans. I think you can do tucked or untucked.

I agree with the others that you could be modeling. You have the shape and project the attitude for it.

  • Windchime replied 9 years ago

Adding my admiration for how incredibly good you look in your Paige jeans! I have the same Gap moto jacket but in the navy/white pattern. I've been holding off until cooler weather to wear it, but I'm afraid cooler weather has arrived. Hello, seven months of winter clothes!

I'm always interested to see how you style our LTS twin pants. You look very refined and professional in your crisp white blouse and black belt.

Have fun organizing your closet this weekend!

  • bj1111 replied 9 years ago

Love you in #1 with the (inadvertently) rock-and-roll hair and the tucked in blouse. It works well with the flared bottoms.

Love the softness of #2. Esp that leather jacket!

Is your black drs bag also from danier? How is it on the inside?

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

Oh my goodness, girlfriend, you look AMAZING! I am so in love with #1 - is that moto navy? I love navy and that moto looks spectacular on you. The entire outfit is perfection. Although #2 is a looser fit, it is equally as fab.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - you wear jeans/trousers like no other! I am so jealous, because if it's anything other than a BF fit, I have a terribly hard time fitting in pants. Jeans are not so hard, but dress slacks? I have pretty much given up on those.

  • amiable replied 9 years ago

Wow - these are perfection.  You look like a model.  No, you look better than a model!

  • replied 9 years ago

I cannot stand how perfect the outfit in pic 1 is on you. You honestly look like you were born to be in long flared pants. You have picked three pieces here (the blouse, jacket and jeans) that suit you perfectly, and that YOU wear, not the other way around. 10/10.

  • Inge replied 9 years ago

Yes! I think that raspberry pink is very similar to the colour in that fun dress. So there you go, you already have a top in that shade, and I still love this blouse on you as much as I did the day you first modelled it for us. I'm really digging the tucked in version. It looks so sassy with the flares (and fab with the belt and jacket too). Brilliant outfit.

I hear what you are saying about the trousers in outfit 2 (another fab outfit for sure). Do you think your Mum would be able to alter them again, so that they fit like how you are describing above?

  • krishnidoux replied 9 years ago

Really Sveta, today was Indian summer's last day? You are SO CHIC!!!!
I agree with the person who said you might need a smaller pair of pants. I love the tucked shirt in the first outfit.

  • Joy replied 9 years ago

You look fabulous! The first outfit is exceptional but I also like the slouchiness of the pants in the second, especially with the jacket.

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

#1 with the moto jacket is outstanding and your outfits are always fab. Both back views look good, it is up to you. Gorgeous!

  • Sveta replied 9 years ago

Today was completely crazy day with doing all required house things after 3 weeks of vacation so I did not have chance to reply earlier. Thank you all so much for your lovely comments, they helped me to survive this hectic day! :-)

Ruth, This black bag is Danier  -  exactly the same model I have in dove grey. It has 3 compartments inside along with the pockets. I love these bags!

Karie, the moto jacket is navy - and yes, dress slacks are hard to fit.

I took the whole load of my too big now pants to my mom today to see if she can alter them. I do have hard time with too big bottoms now because wearing them all summer long did make me feel unfab...from now on I will only wear what fits right!

Looking as killer as ever all round. xo
