WIW: (almost) Toffee, Tomato, White and Burgundy featuring SSIF find!

I got this Maggy London dress in Seattle after Angie made me to size down
in it. It is past my knees! It has long sleeves! It has a high neckline! And it also has pattern I feel comfortable in because it is subtle and low contrast. When I bought it I thought the dress is dark brown but now I think it is black.
I decided to wear it to work today ( go Team Wear! ) First I tried it with my silver pumps but it felt too dressy so I switched to these pretty casual Naya booties in burgundy. As I donned them I thought that this may be a chance to try Angie's latest ensemble. Of course, this dress is not Toffee but the pattern is kind of bronze which is close enough I think. :-)
My only tomato red item is my Chromia satchel so it came out to play today. For a topper I selected my Danier white moto - and off I went to work! Dress does make it easy to dress. I kept moto on outside as the morning was chilly and then indoors it was on and off depending how bad AC was at the moment. It was such a relief to be able to wear this dress sans any topper because IT GOT SLEEVES!!!!
I felt so good in it all day. The quality is quite nice and the fit is spot on (as you would expect with Angie fitting you in it). It does feel a bit close in the armholes but the fabric is stretchy so I hope I can get used to it.
Thank you Angie and Inge for patiently going with me through that pile of dresses in Macy's so I can understand that this dress from Nordstrom should be mine! :-)
I am going to wear it with tall dressy boots and pumps and with myother booties. For toppers I think my navy Gap moto, brown Danier leather blazer and even black long tux - and maybe even my new charcoal gillet!

So excited!!!!

    GORGEOUS! Great job accessorizing!

  • marianna replied 3 years ago

Oooooh… can you link to the dress? It is GORGEOUS!

  • Aida replied 3 years ago

Ooh so fun with those booties! I'm so glad you got the dress, it really is such a fabulous fit and pattern on you. All of your styling ideas sound good. Do you have any cropped vests? That could be fun, though more extreme, sort of look. And of course a blue denim jacket would be a slam dunk.

  • Sveta replied 3 years ago

Marianna, I cannot find it on the Nordstrom website - how weird is that?
Aida, I have a single cropped grey tweed  vest but not sure it will work with it - but I will try. Actually I think my Gap cobalt moto may work as well...

  • deb replied 3 years ago

I am so glad you got that dress. You flatter it so well.

  • Joy replied 3 years ago

That dress was destined to be yours. It 's perfect for you.

  • marianna replied 3 years ago

I think I found it! So pretty.

  • Nebraskim replied 3 years ago

So fab. And I love the comment that YOU flatter the dress. It's a lovely dress but so much prettier on you than on the hangar. You bring that dress to life.

  • Angie_T replied 3 years ago

    Stunning. Seriously stunning.

  • bostonsmama replied 3 years ago

That dress is perfection, and there's a beautiful, long, lean line with the white moto jacket. Want!

  • greenglove replied 3 years ago

I want that dress! You look gorgeous, the whole outfit is superb.
Is the exposed zipper very noticeable, I am trying to stay away from them.
For some reason I cannot get the view of it to come up.

  • Sveta replied 3 years ago

Marianna - you did! Why I could not find it I have no idea...maybe it was not online until now - I looked yesterday.
Jean, I don't think the zipper is very noticeable. I usually don't like them either but this one does not bother me (see the picture below)
Thank you all for your compliments - I do love his dress to bits!

  • greenglove replied 3 years ago

Thanks Sveta, I may have to try that dress on, so hard to find long sleeve midi dresses or midi dresses at all!

  • SarahTheWhite replied 3 years ago

Oh goodness! You look gorgeous in this. I have some tall friends, and I know how hard they look for items with long enough sleeves and long enough length. This fits you to perfection. I am SO happy for you! :-)

  • cheryle (Dianthus) replied 3 years ago

That pattern is gorgeous.  What a great find Sveta.  It looks really nice with the boots but could so easily be dressed up.  Can you see it with red?  I think it would also work with the taffy (can't think of right word) jacket you have.

  • Suz replied 3 years ago

Sveta, you look sensational! What an absolutely stunning dress on you. It's truly perfect. The pattern is so subtle. And it feels like something you'll easily be able to dress up and down. I am thinking how stunning it will look with your black Danier coat over it.

Thank you for loving my new pet!
I have to add that it was Angie who sent this dress to me in the dressing room to try: I may not have looked at it otherwise...thank you Angie! :-)

Fantastic dress on you , Sveta - shows off your gorgeous figure!  As Aida says, a denim jacket is a given here - and with black boots?  WOW !  Nice score :)

  • Firecracker replied 3 years ago

Oh my goodness! This dress is just stunning on you, Sveta. It fits you beautifully. I love it with the white, tomato and burgundy, and all your other ideas sound fantastic as well. It will be a workhorse, certainly. This is one of my favorite kinds of prints--a scroll or wallpaper print--and I love the subtle color scheme, too. Plus, one of the colors is a muted metallic.

  • bj1111 replied 3 years ago

love everything about this dress...the ton-sur-ton of the pattern, the slightly exposed zipper, the way it hugs your new shape without clinging.  what a way to top it off with the white jacket.

  • catgirl replied 3 years ago

    Stunning beyond compare.

You look ridiculously amazing! Wear the heck out of that wonderful dress.

  • Inge replied 3 years ago

Oh Sveta, it was an absolute pleasure going dress shopping with you (and I'm just so pleased that we finally saw some dresses with sleeves, my word!). This fantastic little number was the winner for sure (but do keep that fab raspberry pink colour in mind for future reference;-)
I love how you wore it today, you look stunning! Great take on Angie's ensemble idea. And I'm loving the sound of all those toppers and footwear options. It will be a treat to see all the future pictures:-)

I'm just so glad you went home with this frock, Sveta. Happy sigh.

  • AviaMariah replied 3 years ago

There is no question that Angie is the best. Her ability to pinpoint just the right item for each individual is incredible. She nails it every time. But, on the other hand, look at you, Sveta. I mean is there anything you can't wear and look runway-worthy? What a wonderful purchase for you.
