WIW: my darling Blushing Peach

Oh, a joy of coming home and hugging your wardrobe after dressing for 2 weeks  out of a carry on suitcase WHICH WAS PACKED FOR ONE WEEK ONLY!!!
I decided to use Angie's ensembles and capsules for a dressing inspiration this week. I want to use this cool feature to link from the blog posts so I will be posting my outfits instead of the whole week together.

So this is the first one. Ever since I read this post i wanted to try this combination but I did not have either peach or orange to play with. Not anymore!

I found this Ann Taylor tipped blouse during our Toronto meetup (the ladies there convinced me that it was a flattering color for me and black tipping really spoke to my style sense) but I did not get it then.  Last week in Boston after the YLF gathering on Sunday when I had time to kill before my flight I went to look for it - and bought it! I thought it was pink blush but when I put it next to Zara pink blazer I realized that it is more peach than pink - so I call it Blushing Peach now :-)

For navy color I have paired it with my Paige straight leg jeans. These jeans are a bit big for me now and I was not feeling so fab in them Last night I had a light bulb moment: I realized that they fit me like slim BF jeans now so I just have to style them like boyfriends and not like skinnies - and voila! Magically I feel fab in the them again :-)

I have worn it untucked and semi-tucked during the day - which way you like better? I usually semi-tuck or tuck my tops with my roomier BF jeans but these ones are slimmer fitting and also I like so much the tipping detail on the blouse I wanted it to be fully visible.

For brown I had my leather blazer, booties and tote. I also have an option to pair it with Gap navy moto but this will be for another post :-)

As usual all comments and suggestions are very much appreciated - thanks for looking!

And so worth hugging! This outfit is amazing. And that blouse....so glad you went back and bought it. I like it best faux tucked.

  • Janet replied 10 years ago

Oh, that blouse is great on you. And the jeans and everything else! Well done.

  • Gracie replied 10 years ago

I'm glad you got your closet back. The blouse is just gorgeous and I love how you put the whole outfit together. I prefer the semi-tuck too.

I'm so glad you purchased that blouse - it is absolutely amazing on you! I love everything about this outfit. Without the jacket, I think I like it best semi-tucked, with the jacket, I can't choose - I like it both ways. The booties look fantastic with the rolled up jeans.

Killer to the power of Killer

WOW. That shirt is sooooo stunning. I am stealing it. Say goodbye.

You have lost a noticeable amount of weight, Svetlana. You look amazing - not that you didn't look amazing before. I just wanted to congratulate you on your efforts because I know you're on a  program and it's been sweat and will power all the way. Miss you sweet lady. Welcome home. xo

One of my favorite looks of your Sveta! That shirt is exceptionally cool, and you've styled it perfectly.

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

So so pretty! I will be gone for a week but I had to check in just to tell you how fantastic this looks.

  • Pat Chenell replied 10 years ago

Great blouse! Side detail is fantastic and the black trim is elongating to my eye. Agree about showing off that detail, but prefer the semi-tuck with the jacket. Nice!

  • Echo replied 10 years ago

You look absolutely amazing in this top; it's perfect for you! It looks sharp on its own and fantastic with the jacket, too!

  • Marmee replied 10 years ago

Love the whole outfit, and the blouse is fabulous!  I had the same aha with several pair of former skinny jeans, and have been wearing them rolled.

  • Golden replied 10 years ago

    Great outfit, love the blouse!

Wow, Sveta, can it it better and better??? Smashing, and tucked:-)

  • Jules replied 10 years ago

Wow, stunning! I think this look really plays to your height and presence.

  • MRL replied 10 years ago

Pretty blouse and it looks good on you. I vote for the semi-tuck.

  • viva replied 10 years ago

Love it most semi-tucked, but gorgeous either way. And Sveta, you are the queen of the collar to me. You make the most of the dramatic semi-pop. Amazing as always.

  • merwoman replied 10 years ago

wow wow wow!!!! Stunning! Now the hard question - semi tuck or not....I have a very slight preference for the semi-tuck, but especially with the jacket, think you can go either way.

  • Laura replied 10 years ago

That blouse is remarkable on you!! And I love how you've paired it with brown, not black, to keep it warm-toned.

  • kkards replied 10 years ago

If I hadn't read your notes, I would have just assumed the jeans where BFs, and that shirt is fab! Live this outfit.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

What a gorgeous blouse for you Sveta - great outfit.

  • T replied 10 years ago

#3 appeals the most to me! And that peach top is divine on you :)

  • Neel replied 10 years ago

Pic 3 has launched me into an orbit!! What a brilliant find!

  • Lisa replied 10 years ago

So clever to reconsider how you view your jeans, they make a great 'boyfriend' jean.  Congrats on the weight loss.  As Angie said, I also thought you looked good before, but it's always extra nice to reach a personal weight/fitness goal.  Congrats!

  • Emily replied 10 years ago

You look gorgeous, shirt semi tucked or loose!  The blouse is lovely with your colouring.

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

Yay yay yay!  I was so hoping you would pick up this blouse!  You are stunning, and this blouse is stunning on you.  It fits you to perfection.

I realized this morning that our Toronto trip might have ruined me for Goodwill - to realize that perfection really does exist in retail if you take the time and put in the persistence to find it.  I need to get equally picky with Goodwill if my love for them is to continue.

Your new peach blouse has your name all over it--it's just perfect for your style, and you've styled it brilliantly here! Your smart idea about your jeans has me thinking about a pair which are in the Donate bag. Hmmm...

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

Wow, I hoped my new pet is not a failure but I did not expect such prise for it. Thank you all!
I see the pattern of preferring a semi-tuck with it so this what I think I will stick with - or full tuck. Although I do like how the tipping looks when untucked. Any ideas how I can wear it untucked and look good?
Angie, K2K rating? Now I am blushing too together with my blouse :-) Thank you for your awefully kingd words and encouragement, they mean a world to me. And you are welcome to steal the blouse any day because you would need to come to Canada and I will see you again! :-)
merwoman, Ami and Emily, I am glad you chimed in as you were with me in Toronto when I first tried it on :-) And Ami, good thinking on The Goodwill. The biggest problem with thrifting I had that the cheap price urged me to get something even if it was not perfect. I think I purged almost all my thrifted items over the last 2 years, they just did not make me feel fab enough to justify the spot in my closet.
Laura, the credit for the brown in this outfit goes to Angie and her post :-)
Lisa, I was pretty happy with my discovery about the jeans. They were full price Paige and therefore pretty expensive and I cringed at the thought of purging them...now they work perfectly in their new role!
Windchime, I hope those jeans from the donate pile can be saved and given a new lease of life now.
Again thank you all very much for your kind words and comments - they are very much appreciated!

I just ordered the AT blouse after seeing it on you. If I end up looking half as good as you do in it, it will be a keeper.
    YLfantastic.

  • TraceyLiz65 replied 10 years ago

Fantastic blouse and love how you've styled it with the jeans and ankle boots.

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

So stunning!  I think you are going to be recruited to model any second now.

  • Phatgranny replied 10 years ago

A stunning outfit, Sveta!  I love your style.  May I ask your height?  You always look magnificently statuesque.  Lovely blouse.

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

Sona, I hope this blouse works for you.
Denise, I think there is no danger of this any time soon :-)
Phatgranny, I am 5'11" (178 cm) so VERY tall by any standards :-)

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

That blouse was made for you. Absolutely stunning!

  • Debbie replied 10 years ago

That blouse is stunning! I love it semi-tucked or untucked. The details are wonderful and should be shown.
