WIW: just to prove I am still here :-)

I wanted to follow my off topic post with this quick WIW just to prove that I am still here and kicking :-) Hopefully I can get back to normal soon and return to taking my outfit pictures on a regular basis.
These were my outfits for the last week - before the heat wave struck as you can see.
#1 Navy and orange.
I am continuing to experiment with low heel high vamp shoes as they are the most comfortable for me. This time the loafers with track pants and long vest - is it at least JFE?

#2 Whiteout
I think I already posted almost identical outfits a couple of times - this eyelet tunic and leather vest continue to be one of my favorite combinations this summer.

#3 Denim and lace
This lace blouse was another buy this summer which made me happy - I
feel happy every time I wear it! I love these old Paige flares but I am afraid they are too big for me now - what do you think?

#4 Leather and stripes
Angie's twin! :-) After much agonizing I decided to keep this peplum top and here it is with the skirt. Do proportion look OK to your eye? I am stll getting used to the peplum style on me so not sure. I have also added a leather vest to keep me warm in blasting A/C - do you think it all works together?

Thank you so much for looking and as usual all comments and suggestions are very much appreciated!

Whoa! You are stunning in all of these, Sveta! I love your leopard print flats. What a gorgeous shoe. Every one of these is just perfect. I can't pick a fave. And yes, the proportions with the peplum are perfect. I like it best without the topper but it looks good with it too!

A FAB week of outfits! My favorite is #2. Luv the styling. You look fresh out of a magazine shoot!

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

#1 is fantastic!  I think the fact that you have a cropped pant with skin showing balances the higher vamp flat shoe.  It looks great.

    # 2 that tunic and vest are so gorgeous.  I want to raid your closet and run off with these:)  It's such a cool and elegant look, I am a little lost for words.

#3 is stunning.  This is a silhouette that was made for you.

#4 I think I prefer the peplum with the skirt rather than pants.  Looks fab.

I absolutely adore #1 and #3 on you... you looks great in everything that you wear really :)
Also, the eyelet tunic in #2 is GORG!

Wow, such a great week, glad you posted, Sveta!!! And, wow, love the peplum with the midi! You had a look with a red pencil with it, but I think the longer length and tapper of the skirt here makes somehow for better proportions, so great!:-)

Sveta, thank you for taking the time to share your WIWs when you are so busy.  I saw a few pics of leopard print loafers and ordered a pair and your WIW confirmed for me that it was the right decision.  They add such interest to a neutral outfit.

I do think #2 works for you but I notice it is the only outfit that doesn't have high contrast.  Going by my faulty memory, it seems you often gravitate to higher contrast in your outfits and it works for your coloring.  What do you think about the contrast level for outfits?  Is it a conscious choice to go high contrast or almost an instinct for you?

#3 is outstanding.  I love the use of the darker cami under lace that coordinates with the pant.  Stellar.  I may do this later in the week when I copy Carla's olive with lace outfit.

The peplum is very nice on you too.  Did you consider the leopard shoes with this?  Or did you want to do monochromatic that day?

I am just full of questions early in the morning.  :)

    Nice to see you back.

You are an island of stunning calm in the middle of your storm Sveta. Your style comes from the inside out.

    Fab week of outfits.

These are great outfits.  I love the leopard and orange in #2 and the white in #2 looks fantastic.  The flares look good to me.   Since I can't see the waist or back it's hard to tell if they are too big or not.  The white pointy toed shoes are perfect with them.   I like both versions of the peplum top, but the vest takes away from the peplum look.

Woohooo, Sveta is back, and looking sensational despite the hecticness at home.

#2 and #4 whack it out of the ballpark and are absolutely killer. I see you like a bit of lace too. Yup - you'll need to replace those flared jeans with a smaller size soon.

#1 is flattering full stop. And the peplum proportions look great. Waving to my peplum twin.

    I love number #3 Sveta.

  • jackiec replied 9 years ago

Everything is so GORGEOUS!!! You look amazing. I haven't been around this week so will catch up on your off-topic. I agree that I am in LOVE with #3. But they are all stellar as usual :)

  • MuseumGal replied 9 years ago

WOW.  You are knocking it out of the park.  So fab.

  • Daria replied 9 years ago

Nice to see you Sveta. :)
#3 is my absolute fave although everything is fab and I really should repeat orange/navy combo!

  • MsMaven replied 9 years ago

Wow--great looks. I am impressed by the amount of variation in your styles while using limited colors. Everything works well yet each day is different. I have to say you are inspirational.

  • TraceyLiz65 replied 9 years ago

As usual, Spectacular outfits!  You really have your style down pat!

Ooh, lovely to see you post again. You still have your stylish magic touch too :) I'm so glad you kept the peplum top as I think it works beautifully and I love the white out look in #2. #3 is beautiful, I love the lacy eyelet top. YLF!

  • unfrumped replied 9 years ago

You look great; don't know how you do it. Loving the slouchy pants, and the lacy top outfit.

  • Lisa replied 9 years ago

The first thing I noticed, was the fab pointy toe shoe collection you have here.  I find that style of shoe so hard to fit and equally, so very flattering in outfits.  Great job on your footwear.  Also, I don't mind the flare jeans, I actually just purchased some bootcuts one size up specifically to make them a little baggier for a change.  And the lace top is my favorite of the items here, it is a perfect match to pair with that white blazer.

Sorry this happened to be "post and run" case :-(
Thank you all for looking and chiming in - your comments are much appreciated!
Deborah, I think I am safe from you raiding my closet - it will be too big for you ;-)
lyn67, tat was my thought on a red pencil either - not tapered enough for the peplum.
Cheryle, I love questions ;-) I don't mind low contrast outfits and go tonal from time to time - just to change things up. Also my dark hair provides enough contrast with white - don't you think? Now all black outfit is something I cannot really pull off (for this we should turn to Deborah).
As for the leopard loafers with the peplum outfit - no, I did not think about it. My first thing is "too much" but maybe, maybe... :-)
Angie, I was afraid this may be the case with the Paige flares .Sometimes weight loos is not as great as you imagine it to be ;-(
Lisa, you are dead right: pointy shoes look good but a beast to find a comfortable fit if your forefoot and/or toes are wide and square. I find the Hush Puppy pair more comfortable than Vince Camuto but then they are not that pointy either.

#2 and #3 make me FEEL cooler! Fab week, Sveta.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

You look absolutely gorgeous in every one of these, Sveta! Wow!!!

  • Mona replied 9 years ago

#2 is my favourite, Sveta. Nice to see you after a long time.

  • Dgusanl replied 9 years ago

Sveta, what if you alter the sleeves of the peplum top to be shorter?
I think that would make the proportion of the top more pleasing to the eye, and way easier to style :-)

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

    I'm taken with your vest!
