WIW: first summer outfits at last!

I wrote the whole post, submitted it and it failed - and now I have to write it all over again!!! :-(

I was scarce on the forum lately and have not posted WIW for several weeks. Hopefully I will have more time now because taking pictures and posting them
really helps me to stay on my style toes.

pic 1  Blue and White
I love this Zara jacket and want to wear it at least once a week! I am so happy I decided to keep it!

  •    Zara blazer
  •    Danier silver tote
  •    KUT white BF jeans
  •    JCrew oxfords

pic 2  Pretty Classic
This is how I felt all day - pretty (and) classic. This outfit is not on trend with a button down shirt tucked into a flared skirt and pumps - but I was fineOK with it.

  • Polka dot skirt - consigned
  • Brooks Brothers white shirt
  • J.Renee pumps (Angie's pick)
  • Red Chromia satchel

pic 3 Stripes and Leopard
This white blazer is in its 3rd season and I think it is the last one; it began to look tired. It is annoying how short the life span of white clothing!

  • Pleione crossover top
  • Micro-check crops from Winners
  • Vince Camuto animal print loafers
  • Danier dove satchel

pic 4 Aida's copycat
As soon as I saw Aida's awesome outfit I knew what I wanted to wer tomorrow! I shamelessly copied the entire look except that I own neither her cool clutchgeous curls...

  • Gap luxlight sweater
  • Patterned pencil skirt - Winners
  • JCrew oxfords
  • Danier silver tote

pic 5 Blush and Blue

Last year I wor these blush khakis exclusively full length but this summer I prefer them rolled up...and they work better with flats this way!
Heh, I just realised that my whole outfit is from Gap! :-)

  • Gap faded denim baker jacket;
  • Gap burnout tee;
  • Gap broken in blush khakis
  • Isaac Mizrahi gold flats

This was my week - all worn to work. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

    There are only two pictures.

  • Sveta replied 4 years ago

My Internet is frightfully slow today, I have added them now.

  • Suz replied 4 years ago

Great week, Sveta. You look so amazing in the Zara jacket. I am also glad you kept it! Love this outfit with the white oxfords. You look as if you just arrived in Monaco. :)

#2 may not be "on trend" but it is classic and fab and the red bag gives it pep. This is a fantastic silhouette for you.

Love #4, too -- not to mention, your garden!

  • Adelfa replied 4 years ago

If I worked with you I would so look forward to seeing you every day!

  • Caro in Oz replied 4 years ago

    Lovely looks. #1 & #5 are so fresh & spring-like.

  • ElleH replied 4 years ago

Wow! You look like a style blogger. So stylish.

  • Lyn D. replied 4 years ago

A ray of sunshine in my dull Winter day here!
    #1 is lovely and fresh.
The oxfords in #4 give a similar look to the latest white sneaker with skirt trend, but more refined to my eye.

  • JamC replied 4 years ago

You have a knack for remixing items in new and interesting ways. These are all great looks! And your yard is beautiful. It is fun to see outside photos!

  • replied 4 years ago

    Great looks, Sveta!

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

It's a treat to see you posting summer outfits. I'm so glad you redid the lost post.
I vote 1 the most striking, 2 the outfit I'm most inspired to try to copy, 3 the most creative, 4 the most comfortable elegance, and 5 the most creative use of color. Can you tell I love them all?

  • Karie replied 4 years ago

I am in love with that dotty skirt in #2 - and I think it's on trend to wear it with a button down and pumps - well I hope it is because I wear outfits like that a lot!  I am also glad you kept that Zara blazer in #1 because you rock it, girlfriend! And speaking of rocks, is that your backyard in the last two pics? How pretty!

  • jackiec replied 4 years ago

Hi Sveta - I love it all! You are like a model! #1 is hands down my fav - it blows me away. I love the silver tote with it. Amazing. All your looks are so great!!

  • unfrumped replied 4 years ago

Wow on all. Love how you really use your items.
To me the dotty skirt looks great styled that way.

  • Eliza replied 4 years ago

Thanks for sharing. That blue jacket sings in number 1. The skirt outfit is classic, but feels fresh with the pointy toes. Love your oxfords and the gray satchel. YLF!

  • SarahTheWhite replied 4 years ago

I love everything you post! What Adelfa said... If i worked with you, I would look forward to seeing what you wear every day. Also, I love your hair! :-)

  • MsLuna replied 4 years ago

Sveta! We missed you here in YLF! I missed seeing your sophisticated/elegant outfits so it's good to see you posting WIWs again! 1 and 2 are my faves! It always makes me smile when I see that Zara blazer!

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

Gorgeous all round, you wonderful creature. I'm going with #1 and #5 as my killer best because of their '80s appeal. xo

  • Transcona Shannon replied 4 years ago

All absolutely fabulous outfits Sveta - that Zara jacket in pic 1 is just delicious on you and pairs beautifully with the L&T tee.

  • Aubergine replied 4 years ago

You look so fresh in all the ice blue and white! I really love the more retro/romantic look in #2. Also like #4 a lot. It's really simple but compelling.

  • replied 4 years ago

#1 is just fabulous! Probably my favourite. Your dotty skirt outfit really appeals to my love of spots and #4 is so modern. What a great set out outfits!

  • columbine replied 4 years ago

My favorite at the first two looks, you look smashing.

  • UmmLila replied 4 years ago

These are all great, but is especially like the light blue on you.

  • Sveta replied 4 years ago

Thank you ladies for your lovely comments.
Adelfa, LOL - sometimes I doubt my co-workers (who are mostly guys) even notice what I wear :-)
Suz / Karie / JamC - thank for loving my garden. It is the main reason I have very little time for Ylf now - like today when I did not get to reply to you until 7PM because I was weeding and mulching all day...
Lyn D - exactly why I got on the flat oxford bandwagon very fast but have problem accepting the sheaker trend -  not refined enough for me...
Joy, your enthusiasm is a joy to see! :-)
Sarah, thanks for loving my hair. I went pretty short with it 3 weeks ago and still adjusting to it.
Katie, this Zara blazer does remind me of you and other ladies from our Toronto meetup!
Angie, I will take your word for that 80s appeal in #1  because I cannot figure out what makes it so. I must have lived under a rock in the 80s... :-)
Shannon, I got that L&T tee thanks to you because you always find such fab things at the Bay that it inspired me! :-)

  • Mona replied 4 years ago

Big applause for Blue and white in #1. This is one of my favourite outfits on you. Second favourite is #5 from GAP. The pieces play so nicely with each other. The rolled khakis do look better with flats and the clutch looks just wondreful.
The crossover blouse in #3 always looks great on you.

  • shevia replied 4 years ago

Beautiful photos of beautiful outfits on beautiful you! I will pick #1 and #5 as favorites but they are all terrific!

  • Missey replied 4 years ago

You look so absolutely glamorous in pic 1.  Love the sharp shoulder on the jacket and that shade of light blue is especially gorgeous on you!  Pic 2...who cares if it's not "on trend", you look amazing!  So svelte! Pic 5 is my final favorite...pastel blue is just so lovely on you and I love that moto on you!

  • Gracie replied 4 years ago

All lovely looks. My favorites are 3 because of the original color mix and it appeals to my tomboy streak, and 5 is just so fresh and easy, the blue jacket looks gorgeous on you. I certainly don't dress on trend every day... I have older favorites that I love to repeat, I guess they would be my classics.

  • Firecracker replied 4 years ago

These are all gorgeous, Sveta! I love your new blazer--it's so fresh looking in that shade of blue, and it fits you beautifully. The outfit with it is fantastic. I also love the last one, with the blue biker jacket and perfectly slouchy boyfriend chinos. And whether it seems on trend or not, the pretty, classic outfit is just to die for. You wear that look so, so well! The silver shoes are a lovely surprise touch.

  • abc replied 4 years ago

The jacket in 1 is super. I personally love 2. When I saw the thumbnails i thought to myself - ooh I'm gonna love the dotty one! And I do!

But my goodness your yard is beautiful! I miss having a green patch of grass, sigh.

  • lyn67 replied 4 years ago

I can't get past the first one.... OMG!!!! Plonk!:-))

But all are  beautiful, and I love the more casual outfits, too!!!

  • Windchime replied 4 years ago

Don't you look gorgeous and summery in all this blue and white! As many others have commented, the Zara jacket looks fabulous on you. I love your shirt in pic #1 every time I see it on you.
Your garden is beautiful and inviting--they're so much work, aren't they?!

  • Neel replied 4 years ago

That zara jacket is gorgeous on you! Such a beautiful color and style and the best summer purchase?! Love the olive cropped pants and red striped blouse outfit too. Gorgeous colors on you and a great set of summer outfits!

  • amiable replied 4 years ago

Love these outfits - and welcome back!

  • Sara L. replied 4 years ago

All of these are great outfits!  I especially like that Zara jacket in #1 though.  You make it look sharp!

  • texstyle replied 4 years ago

Such a treat when you "catch up" with your WIW's. I can see why you love wearing that blue jacket - it is so great on you.  I really love1, 4 and 5 in particular -I think due to the summery feeling colors.

  • Carole replied 4 years ago

Gorgeous, every outfit...1 is extra special!!!

  • Lisa replied 4 years ago

A fun week of looks, it's nice to see the striped criss cross blouse, it's a great piece.

  • Day Vies replied 4 years ago

YAY summer! I absolutely ADORE #1. The metallic bag works so well with the abstract print in your top.

  • rachylou replied 4 years ago

    Looking so smart!

And ohmigosh, you've reminded me of my navy Zara blazer. That's what I should have worn today. It's for once too hot for a puffy. Too hot even for my 'summer wool' coats. I was scrambling this morning!
