What a great set of outfits Sveta. And you are really looking SLIM!
The only thing I'm not crazy about is #5. I love navy with black, and navy with grey, but somehow grey, black AND navy is just one too many neutrals. For my taste.

Sveta replied 9 years ago
Elizabeth, these trousers are not grey but black with white mini-window-pane pattern - they do not photograph well.

Joy replied 9 years ago
These are each wonderful outfits, but 5 is my favorite. I think that you are successful in toning down the official shirt with both the jacket and the track pants.

Yay, more outfit inspiration from you! I love how your new blue jacket is used to create a take on today's blogpost.
I like the blush pink and red combo; it'd be great to wear again around Valentine's Day.
You might not enjoy golf but nonetheless look cool and chic in #3, and the blue shirt in #4 is a gorgeous color for you.
It's odd how those LTS trousers photograph grey, isn't it? I wonder how the white jacket in #6 would look with your outfit in #5.
Love #6; you look fab in those jeans!

Sveta, I had a long long response for you but YLF ate it :( That aside, I love your outfits!!! The silhouettes are just perfect!
Now...
#1: that baby blue jacket always makes me smile :) it's such a happy colour and it looks great on you! Love the silhouette without the topper and the proportions are perfect! Love the white on white too!
#2: even a short waisted girl like me has the exact same concern as you! This sort of look has become my new summer FFBO, but I always had issues with dramatic hi-Lo tops like my white sweater. As for your sweater - I like the proportions at the front, but the back, I'm not 100% sure about - I'd like to hear what others say as I have a very similar effect with my white sweater.
#3: I love the lighter colour scheme! You must be the most stylish gal in the golf course! :)
#4: the simplicity makes this outfit my fave of the bunch. Love the colour (of course), but the silhouette and proportions are perfect!
#5: love this - especially how the moto contrasts with the modern classic outfit! :)
#6: this one is amazing as well! Love the flares (yay flares!!!!)

A week of wonderful! You look so chic in all of these, Sveta. I think with your model's poses, you make everything look extra fab. I love your take on Angie's ensemble (outfit 1). Yes, #2 works beautifully. I like the bookending of the sweater and shoes; they look quite similar in the photo. The shades and proportions of the sweater and skirt are great together. 3-4 are awesome--great golf-rebel outfit with the quick change for berry-picking. You did nicely with the hard to pair top--I really like the outfit with the jacket over it (also like it without). I like the way the jacket toughens up the blouse, so I'd say try other casual (i.e., not blazer-style) jackets with it, too--your leather ones, for example. Outfit 6 may actually be my favorite, just because I'm amazed at how you can rock a t-shirt and jeans! It's an outfit after my own heart--jeans, tee, metallics--yay!

Oi. You are my fashion icon!
I love the Gap pants on you. Love linen- cotton blends. Inspired by your stylings, I would like to try but have been afraid they would not work on my pear shape- though sizing up and belting might work. Hmm, if they are in store that would help.

Wonderful set of outfits. I especially like #1 and #3.

Wooohooo. Another amazing rendition of the formula. #1 is killer. I'm soooo glad you got that light blue jacket, Svetlana. It's your wild card for the season.
You look fantastic in diagonal sleeves. Great top option for you.
I LOVE the '80s vibe in #3. Another killer look. And #5 and #6 are Sveta Signature Looks. Always beautiful. xo

Thank you ladies, you are gracious as always!
Windchime, i have tried my white blazer with outfit #5 and it did not work well to my eye: too much white I guess. It may work with white pants or jeans though...
Katie, it is so frustrating when it happens! ;-( and that blue blazer reminds me of our Toronto meeting so double fun!
Firecracker, I have tried the shirt in #5 with my leather jackets but was not sure about the results: I guess I have to try again.
Missey - thank you, it is a lot of work but I think it worth it!
unfrumped, try the linen pants. I have hips too! I think the main thing is to get them to fit fluidly and not tight - size up if you need. Slouchy fit like this is very flattering for fuller hips!
Angie, I guess you are right and that blue blazer was my wild card :-) I am also happy that you approve of the eyelet tees on me as this was a very wild and risky buy with a final sale and not seeing them in person. You know that I usually do not wear tees - well, this one is different I guess because the front panel is woven silk.

Ha! I am a lemming. Brought home the gray pants, but may need to get next size up home too. In store, I thought the larger size would need a lot of waist alteration, but I didn't try them on with a belt.
Sveta, did you try the Gap linen pants in white? I love how they look and fell overall, but I think will be too see- through what with the pockets and all. That's why the thicker denim fabric of my Kuts works in white, but they're also not as breezy as the linen- blend.

Everything looks so polished and chic! Love the first one against the beautiful outdoor setting, and the grey outfit looks professional yet somehow different/ unexpected. I think the proportions work in your playing with proportions outfit.

I love all of these. You look wonderful. I love how you styled the black shirt. Great week.

Sveta replied 9 years ago
unfrumped, I tried white and was not happy about them. I did not like how pocket lining was visible. I found I like grey color the best. Get a size up and compare: you want to have no pulling at the hips at all. However I think mine stretched out with wear so it may be a good idea to get 2 sizes and wear them at home for some time to see if they loosen up. I am tempted to try JCrew white linen pants Suz got, they looked good...
Thank you Denise and Debbie.

You're spoiling us with all these fab outfits Sveta. Love your rendition of Coral, blue and white. And the outfit in #3 reminds me of soft beachy colours, just gorgeous. I can't really pick a favourite as all are wonderful!

I love the sweater in #2 I think the proportions are perfect. Each outfit is strong on it's own but I am in love with #'s 4 and 5. (They're both so polished and crisp!) 4 is more seasonally appropriate -- I think the white belt and the semi tuck finish the look perfectly. 5 is a WOW I love the layering of navy and black I love the cuffs peeking out from under the sweater I love the fit of everything in #5.

Oh, a whole week of Svetlana-fabness!!
Of course your blue blazer is a slam dunk outfit maker with your fab coral-red bag.
I like #2 as well and find the proportions work. Yes, it is a LOOOOONG torso look from the back, but with your height and natural grace you carry it off. It also feels great, I suspect. There is something about that silhouette that has a sort of inherent elegant feel. I like to wear my tube skirt with the high low taupe silk top that Celia sent me. The proportion is quite alike. I think it falls into the "just flattering enough" category.
Love your take on the "golf" outfit. Simple and chic. Also love, love, LOVE you in that shirt in #5. Outfit works brilliantly to my eye. How might it work with the light blue jacket? And how about the new Zara white one?

What a treat all your outfits are – all of them are fab in my book. My favorite is, of course, the tomboy look on 3 – all light and fresh colors with your fab denim moto! I like that spot on your porch for photos - the perfect neutral and interesting background for this outfit. I think the pink and red go very well together and the proportions (and background!) are all very harmonious, very feminine.

What a fantastic set out outfits! #2 works very well - I think us tall gals can carry off that look. It's so hard to pic a favorite, but I have to go with #1 - I love that blue blazer - so fresh and summery!
-
Lisa replied 9 years ago
I'm with Suz, the top in #2 has an elegant feel with the drape and your height, on me it would look stumpy because I'm so short. :) I also like your navy moto with the black/white shirt. I also think it is worth a shot to see hwo the black/whtie collared shirt works with the bootcut jeans and leopard flats in your last photo. The jeans could make the top less 'official looking perhaps?

I hadn't come across this post(or don't remember it) and I have to say that I simply love your red skirt and pink sweater. Love it!
All the other outfits are fabulous but that one does it for me :)

Argh my reply got eaten.
LOOVE look #3 with the juxtaposition of the pale subtle colors and the tomboy attitude and structure, and that shirt rocks on you.
I think the proportions in #2 work, and the blocking might be lifted a bit upward if you try with heeled shoes sometimes.
What a great blouse in #5, I think the navy moto works, and I'd try whatever toppers work with your bottom skirt or pants -- as long as they play nicely with the collar I bet a variety might do the job.

Love the red bag in 1 with the light blue! I'm partial to the silhouette of 2 if only because I wear something similar. Always love your WIWs.
