WIW: catching up

My life is so busy now that I did not have time to post my WIW so this is a catch up post which heavy on pictures and light on words :-) Unless mentioned the outfit was worn to work.
pic #1 I wanted to wear one of Angie's ensembles here with a fitted denim jacket and a skirt but my only fitted denim jacket in white h=just did not work well with this skirt so  I went with a boxy denim jacket here.

pic #2 Another skirt + denim jacket look and again the buttoned up jacket as per Angie's post did not feel right here. Maybe the problem is that I need a better quality jacket for this look than this Old Navy one?

pic #3 Dress over jeans look. I really like this red color and would like to add more items in it to my wardrobe but it is a hard to find color fir some reason.

pic #4 The simple look of  a white shirt and jeans. This bright yellow Gap jacket is cheering me up every time I wear it.

pic #5 I just cannot resist a graphic black and white look and here is another one. Red bag was added for fun!

pic #6 For going out with friends to an evening theater performance I kept the same jeans but changes the top and shoes. The picture is a bit dark as I took it after we returned and the light was fading -  hopefully you can see enough :-)

All outfits were a mix of new and old items - except  #2  which was from all old items.

Thank you for looking and as usual all comments and suggestions are very welcome.
Have a great week!

I want to come over for a cup of tea and play in your wardrobe Sveta! Such fab outfits. I know the shirt in #5 is a couple of years old but it is still one of my favourites of yours. Your outfits are always so cohesive and cleverly put together. Never boring, always a strong point of interest.

Those are some really lovely looks. I like the red dress over Jean look,

Dress over jeans is very nice Sveta! And 4,5,6 are clear winners - so fab and perfect!

Thanks for sharing, Sveta, it's always a treat! I love your outdoor photos, too. My favs are 5 & 6 since the looks with vests seem so fresh. But they are all so great - you have a talent for mixing your pieces in a new way.

These are all fab outfits. The jackets in #1 and #2 are perfect with the skirts and the vests are perfect with the pants.

You are right about how cheery that yellow jacket looks. I love that combo of yellow, whit and blue on you. So fresh. Re: white denim jacket. I have a couple of them, both from Gap. I find that if I iron them (which I know most people hate ironing but I prefer it), they crisp up and look a bit more polished. As depicted here, this jacket looks a bit soft. You usually wear the harder crease, so perhaps a crisp jacket with the fluid knit would provide a nice contrast. The red dress over the skinnies is also an outstanding look.

Terrific looks Sveta, you are always chic and stylish. I love #6 especially!

These are great looks!  I always look forward to your WIW posts.  The shoes in all your outfits are fab and you have a great collection of toppers.  I especially like the yellow jacket and outfits #3 and #5.

OMG, I adore the yellow blazer!  You look amazing and so spring-like. So much to admire here...

Stunning outfits.  I especially love the BR white vest and you always inspire me to wear my GAP jean, moto jacket.

What a wonderful set of outfits Sveta. Your style is stellar as usual. How do you do it??

I really like the dress over jeans look and both vest combos too. I also agree with others about the yellow jacket...like a ray of summer sun...gorgeous!

Thank you all for you kind comments!

, you are welcome for that cup of tea (and cake) anytime! Actually I have a hard relationship with that striped shirt. Very often it just does not work like I envision it but for those moments when the stars  align (like this one) I really treasure it.

Nebraskim - I DID iron that white denim jacket ( I could not leave the house in it otherwise). This is what I mean about the quality - nothing can crisp it up more aside from starching :-(

Yep, this yellow jacket does bring the sunshine into my life. I would need to look for a replacement in a similar color as this one is starting to look tired...:-(
