WIW: before I disappear for 3 weeks!

We are leaving on our vacation on Wednesday so this is most likely my last WIW post in September.

pic 1 Light blue and plaid
I am having fun trying different color combinations for these plaid jeans. This time I went for low contrast with a light blue, cream and nude. I wore the sweater untucked and did not put on a belt but during day it bothered me that jeans kept sliding down a bit without a belt to hold them up. I think I will always wear them with the belt and semi tuck.

pic 2 Tuxedo orchid
Official business casual day at work! I love these tuxedo trousers but find that they are a bit hard to style without going too maximal for my liking. I felt good in this outfit though when I paired them with orchid sweater and cream Zara jacket. What do you think?

pic 3 Stripes and sequins
This is quite bold but I hope that minimal black and white scheme keeps it from being too busy. The day was very hot and humid with huge thunderstorms so I decided to wear my ankle strap flat sandals but I regretted this during the day because my feet froze in my office AC. Unfortunately I cannot wear sandals to work anymore :-(

This was my (short) week. As usual all suggestions and comments are very welcome. Have a great weekend and see you in October (except those I see in Seattle - SQUEE!!!)

Fist of all, I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
The outfits are all stunning and they all work.  The #3 is really good, and I am sorry about cold feet.  I guess it is closed toed shoes for work from now on.

Sveta - I love all your outfits as always. I am adoring outfit number 2 and will be using it as inspiration for work next week.

Sveta- nice outfits all.  Great idea to add color to the tuxedo pants and I am loving number 3.  I have the plaid Kuts and take inspiration from the way you are trying a wide range of colors with them very successfully.

    Have a great vacation!

All three of these are lovely outfits and I could copy 1 and 3 almost verbatim! Sorry about your cold feet. And good luck with the packing for the trip!!

You look great and those plaid jeans are so brilliant on you! Have a wonderful vacation.

My favourite is #2 on you. So soft and pretty.

    #3 i love for itself.

As for #1, plaid pants will take some getting used to for me--but your styling is impeccable. Those white oxfords are breathtaking and perfect for this. You really wouldn't want anything heavier with those pants.

I am so going to do light blue with my plaid jeans. It looks great on you, as do the other outfits you've chosen. Are you going anyplace exciting other than the Seattle meet up (she says enviously).

I was at the consignment store dropping off some items, collecting my loot, and I found a light blue J Crew tuxedo shirt that will be perfect. I would never have even tried a shirt with so much going on in the front before so I thank Angie et all for that recommendation.

(I'm sobbing that you'll be away, but you made up for it by coming to Seattle. 20 more sleeps till I hug you).

I'm thrilled you discovered light blue, you gorgeous creature. #1 is Killer to the power of Killer. #2 and #3 are fabulous too of course. But it's SO fun to see the trends and a new colour in #1.

    Have a wonderful trip. xo

Sveta you look so amazing. You're actually going to fashion week to work as a runway model, right? It will be our little secret. ;)
I love all of these, but the third has stolen my neutrals-loving heart. I can't wait to meet you in Seattle!!

Sveta, I can't really pick a favourite. All three are so fabulous and the more I see Fabbers wearing plaid pants the more I fancy a pair for myself too. You look great in yours in  #1. #2 is quite elegant and I love the monochrome boldness of #3. Have a wonderful trip and I'm so looking forward to meeting you on the 26th when you get to the hotel in Seattle. Can't wait!

Sveta, you should be a model. Such grace! I love them all, in particular #1. Enjoy your vacation and Seattle, you lucky creature!

Gorgeous week! All perfect, really! You have a great style, Sveta! These are all very carefully put together stylish and trendy outfits! Love the diversity of your wardrobe! It all works out great, all you show  us, new or old!

    #2 is my favorite, gorgeous.

  • Beth Ann replied 9 years ago

What fun!  These looks have such lovely, calm and feminine colors and easy, fluid fits.  You look terrific.

    Enjoy your vacation!

I love #2 - YLF in all of them. Have a great trip :)

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

Total gorgeousness! I love those tuxedo striped pants. It looks fantastic paired with the orchid sweater and cream jacket. I also like the low contrast of outfit #1, and the ankle strap sandals look great with the VC tube (sorry your feet were cold).

    Enjoy your vacay!

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

You are gorgeous in light blue and lilac and #3 is stunning!

  • rabbit replied 9 years ago

I'm really loving #1 and 2 and those cool pastel sweaters are magic on you!  I keep forgetting how much I love lavender/orchid colors since I don't see them in stores as much, but I can't wait until more are around.

  • Sveta replied 9 years ago

Sorry I did not get to reply yesterday - crazy busy because this is the last weekend before we are leaving  mid-week!
Yes Tanya, closed shoes for work from now on!
frannieb, I cannot wait to see your version!
Eliza, I am happy to be a plaid jeans twin with you.
Suz, I think we can more or less imitate half of each other outfits :-)
Janet, Ingunn, lyn67, Anna, Beth Ann, Caro, Karie, shevia - thank you
Alana, there was a time when I shied from any bright  or light color on the bottom and of any pattern there - not anymore! :-)
Ummlila, we are going for a camping trip to Utah for 2 weeks first before I go to Seattle. So style wise my vacation  is going to be all gear :-)
Angie, I am counting to! I am on the lookout for more things in the flattering light blue shades because I am enjoying wearing soft colors this season. My only complain is the quality of that Gap sweater: it stretches a lot :-(
Claire and Diane, I cannot wait to hug you too!
rabbit, I think lavender and  orchid colors are more available now so stock up while you can!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 9 years ago

These outfits are gorgeous on you, Sveta. I love the soft tones in #2 and how the fabulous bag blends in. The fit and proportion are fantastic in all three outfits, too. Can't wait to meet you! (And your skirt is waiting patiently for you here.)

  • Sveta replied 9 years ago

Sharan, thanks - I an I am waiting impatiently here. It is going to be quite a reunion! :-)

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

You are in for a treat, Sveta. Looks like lots of light blue for Spring 2015. xo
