WIW before I disappear...

I will be completely absent for the next week. Not that I was very active lately anyway but I am leaving for a business trip on Sunday morning and I am afraid I won't be even able to check the blog!
So I am throwing in my WIW for the last 2 weeks before I am off to pack...

pic 1
Debut of my new burgundy Naya booties. The light was not the best - can you see my burgundy colored tights too? :-)

pic 2
This is one outfit I felt good in until I saw a picture afterwards. I envisioned these cropped trousers to play well with tall boots but alas, their length is not right. They should have been a bit longer or shorter to clear the top of the boots completely. As is they got caught in the boot tops all the time and drove me crazy...Also I liked the t-neck with this leather jacket in the mirror but I am not sure about them together in the picture. Too preppy?BTW, these are my old boots I have cleaned some time ago and posted about :-) Not exactly like new but much better I think.

pic 3
I liked this one, the only problem was that I was too cold in this "hole-y" sweater with just a cami underneath :-( These are my new Paige Skyline straight jeans I bought in summer with Jonesy - their first time out!

pic 4
One of those very simple outfits I feel good in. If you cannot see it the tank I am wearing on top of the shirt is silver lurex.

pic 5
I was in a playful mood for a polka dot skirt! I tried to wear pearls with this outfit but then Angie's "arm candy" post came to mind. I have never worn a bracelet and a ring together before, they seemed like too much. This time however I liked it - go bold or go home! I put on earrings too but they felt like too much so it was just the arm candy for me that day.

pic 6
I love my wide leg trousers! Every time I wear them I feel like I can take on anything! Speaking of which maybe I should pack them for my trip, which is going to be a handful...:-)

Sorry for the post and run and I apologize in advance if I won't be able to reply for the comments. My plane is leaving at 6AM on Sunday and tomorrow is going to be chock-full day of getting ready for it.
See you in a week!

Great looks as always, Sveta, but I particularly like #3 - love the contrasting textures. Yum.

    Have a great trip!

Sveta, that is the coolest leather jacket EVER! I love It especially closed in #6. I also love the texture/pattern mix in #3.

    Have a good trip!

As always I love all your outfits. I agree with Diana that is one cool leather jacket.

Sveta great outfits. I love the new booties. I have been shopping for ankle boots and it is hard to find a pair that fit and yours look perfect.

I like the second outfit too. The t-neck and boots are close in color and book end.

Three and four are both very nice outfits. The simple outfit with jeans looks very effortless. I love the 50s silhouette skirt on you and that polka dot one is outstanding.

Wonderful outfits! My favorite is #3, but that leather jacket is fabulous! Have a great trip.

Love the harmony in your outfits -- you do this with multiple items, too, keeping things interesting without losing the balance and focus of the outfits. This requires a keen style sense and perseverance.

Hope your week goes well and your schedule settles down!

#5 is KILLING me! I love the other outfits too - but I just wasn't expecting to see you in a gathered (look at that waist!) polka-dotted skirt - showing off your gorgeous legs - and your HAIR! What are you doing with your hair???? My goodness woman, I know I've said this before, but you should be a model. (Hope you have a good work-week - and I'm still bummed that you aren't going to be able to make the So CAL YLF weekend!)

Sveta I can only imagine you command immense respect at work. You look so professional and put together with little twists here and there.

I LOVE that polka dot skirt outfit!!!!! And that leather jacket! You look fantastic in all the outfits!

I so love your WIW! Gorgeous ad stylish as usual. But my absolute favourite, where I fell backwards on my chair, is pic 5. Not only are you the queen of dress pants, but you are also the queen of A-line skirts! The blue shirt with it is to die for. It is literally made for you.
My least favourite is pic 2, maybe because of the lighting, but it seems the colours are too boring for you. You need a "oomph", which you've got in pic 3, for example, in the form of the print scarf.

And that jacket in pic 6 is absolutely fantastic.

That polka dot skirt picture really made me sit up and take notice, for sure. You looked lovely. I can see why you froze in #3, but at least you looked lovely doing it. And I agree that the leather jacket is incredible.

I like the turtleneck with the jacket, but then again, I like preppy.

Have a safe and good trip, Sveta! You always look sensational. I especially love #1, #3 and #6!

I think the shorts and boots outfit works well :)

I'm still chuckling at your I CAN"T WEAR PANTS comment - and look at you now!!! Your pants outfits are amongst my favourites.

  • replied 11 years ago

I love that those wide legged trousers make you feel like you could take on anything! Everyone needs a pair of pants like that! You look great in all of these, 2-5 are my faves. Have a safe trip. ;)

Oh I just love how you matched your hose to your shoes in 1! lovely

and that jacket in 2 and last shot....TDF!

but the best is you beautiful and feminine in the skirt and blouse. Stunning lady!

Ohh how to pick a favourite - very hard choice, but I'll go with #6. I love the subtlety of the colours and textures - I believe I'm seeing spots on your footwear - elegant effortless chic. The jeans in pic 3 - these were made for you! And love the burgundy boots - I thought they were long boots until I went back and read your post (sorry - I always go for the pics first) so fabulous. And one more comment - the skirt outfit really brings out the soft, romantic aspect of you. Oh, how about 1 more thing - love that pink jacket! Have a great week Sveta - safe travels.

That Danier Leather jacket was one of your best purchases ever Sveta - it's like it was made for you. Love it more every time you wear it.
