WIW - still experimenting with loose trousers...

I feel so tired after my crazy business trip that I did not have any energy to play in my closet or take picture for the most of this week. However I managed to take a couple of pictures in the end of this week and here they are.
#1 Still experimenting with loose fitting trousers. This is a crazy pairing of them with a cropped top used as a vest and a BB button down. It is hard to see but I have some pattern mixing here too - polka dots of the scarf, stripes of the shirt, mini-houndtooth of the trousers and "no name" pattern of the top. What do you think - was I crazy to leave the house like this?
#2 This is my new BR turtleneck - I hope this yellow is passable on me. I really like to pair yellow with grey instead of black, it is softer this way.
This is an old silhouette of a above the knee dress, leggings and boots which I have been wearing for several years now but I still like it.

Sorry I am really sporadic on the forum these days, this work gets better of me. :-(

    The first outfit is so fun and stylish--NOT crazy at all. I love the subtle pattern mixing and the layering you've done. You look great! I think the slouchy trousers could be a little less roomy, perhaps in the thigh (just looking at the drape in the right thigh, actually)? But that's a minor point. I like how they fall around your booties.

    The second look is a classic one for you. I agree with you about the yellow and gray combo--it's fresh and flattering, and just right with that scarf and boots.

    I've missed seeing your posts. Work and other aspects of life sometimes get in the way of photo-taking, don't they?

    Wow Sveta I really like #1. Love the grey and white and I think the slouchy pants look good. Are they comfortable with the booties, they look like they might catch in the bootie?

    #2 is classic Sveta, love it and I think you look rather fab in the yellow.

    And no need to apologise, life is busy and you can just pop in when you can... we love to see you.

    Hi Sveta,
    I love the grey and white outfit ! The scarf really takes it to a new level, and the way it is tied is perfect!
    The trousers have a lovely casual feel with the slouch, and look great with the booties. Best pant I have seen on you yet, I think!

    I think the first outfit looks good -- I think the proportions are off with the crop top, or something in how it flares out. But overall proof of concept is great.

    The second outfit is great too, I love the grey and mustard and how you picked up the yellow in the boots.

    first outfit is so stylish but I think my eye is still not used to the loose trousers. I really like the pattern mixing with scarf, top and the shirt.

    Sveta, so good to see you post! I always miss you when you are absent. But you must take good care of yourself.

    Outfit #1: Unlike some of the other commenters, I love the slouchy trousers and do not think they should be any less slouchy! My only concern is like Deb's - do those booties catch on them? I may be paranoid because my own booties were snagging my pants yesterday and also on my trip this happened with another pair of pants. But it might have been the darn velcro fasteners that made the situation worse.

    I love the concept of this outfit and the pattern mix. I am not sure if the proportions are just right. The flare of the "vest" and/or the shortness of the shirt are throwing me off a bit. And yet there is something about it which I like a great deal. It seems to go with the slouchy fit of the pants themselves....there is a sense of ease.

    I love outfit #2. The mustard works in combination with the grey and the scarf, even if it is not your ideal colour. And the boots with this are so fab, picking up the yellow tone!

    I agree 100% with Suz about the first outfit. Although the appealing Sveta style is there, something seems off to me too. And I agree it has to do with the proportions. Colours are fantastic though, but that vest having a trapeze shape + the slouchy trousers is too heavy, when one knows the knock out you are. By curiosity, I wonder how it would look belted.

    I love love love the first outfit..it's very modern and chic and really show off your gorgeous long leg line!

    I hope work becomes more balanced soon. It seems like this crunch period has been a long one.

    Poor Sveta! I hope you get a break from work soon; it sounds exhausting.

    I love your slouchy trousers. They look very elegant because they are just loose enough to sort of *hang* on your hips, making you look very slim right there. Not sure about the length shirt--this is also a fight that I fight! Love the second outfit too. I feel that it's still Sveta and still in style, so enjoy it!

    I love the way the trousers in #1 fit! KILLER. The shooties work well too. The layers look a little short though. To my eye, a few inches longer on both the shirt and vest would make a huge difference.

    Outfit #2 is fab :)

    I know we're supposed to be talking about trousers, but I'm so taken with the yellow and greys. Fit is beautiful, all the lines balanced, and the color story very rich!

    I loved, loved the second outfit. Just wonderful.

    You were not crazy to leave the house in #1. It's perhaps not a 10, but it's still a good mark, and it's fun.
