WIW - a lot of skirts and button downs...

I was not even sure if I am up to post my WIW this week with all this NAS excitement but I have missed the last week so I decided to pull myself together for this one.
Nothing really new here, all true and tired basics
pic 1
When I walked out of the door in this outfit in the morning my husband told me that I am all dressed up. Weird hah as all I wore was a button down shirt and trousers. I guess optic white color does have a dressy appearance.
Blue shirt with white trim -BR, white Editors trousers - Express, nude wedge sandals - Franco Sarto, faux python tote - Winners

pic 2
I ws inspired by Angie's birthday skirt from Valentine in Monday's post and decided to wear my black skirt on Tuesday. Alas- I think I gained some weight because it is pretty tight on me. Oh well - cannot be faultless all the time, right?
BB ministripe shirt, black flared skirt - thrifted, red Chromia bag, grey heringbone pattern low wedges - Trotters

pic 3
Another skirt today! This outfit reminds me of 50s and my mom's outfits when she was a teen.
Black and white polka dot skirt - Jessica Howard, hot pink tank - Le Chateau, whiet denim jacket - ON, nude Fidji pumps

pic 4
Yet skirt again! Hot day so something cool was in order. I tried wear the shirt untucked to de-bombshell the skirt but I liked the tucked in proportions much better so I switched to that mid-day. Oh well, I think my flat oxfords did some de-bombshelling anyway :-)
coral shirt and black / white patterned skirt - Winners, yellow and white oxfords - Hush Puppies.

pic 5
I was in really casual mood today. (and also with half of my wardrobe in a laundry basket) so this is what I wore to work. I also tried a semi-tuck to showcase my studded belt but I am not sure it worked: I don't usually do it.
Striped boatneck tee - Gap, denim clams - Nine West, white studded belt - Winners, white and black silk polka dot scarf from a boutique in Paris, nude wedge sandals - Franco Sarto, red Chromia bag.

pic 6

Bonus - the only picture I managed to take last week before my kitty got sick (he is OK now)
coral shirt (as in pic. 4), white Kut bermudas, turquoise beads from Nordstrom, yellow and white flat oxfords - Hush Puppies.

OK, I am done here and now I can get back to the forum to revel in all those gorgeous NAS purchases! I won't see mine for another week so I have to survive through all of yours now!

I LOVE your colorful week, and being me the skirt outfits had me sighing in awe, but I adore the slouchiness and textural components of #5 best of all!

  • annagybe replied 11 years ago

#3 is fabulous, and I'm so NOT team polka dot. Love #5 too.

  • Jamie replied 11 years ago

Wow, Sveta, you look fabulous. I just love your style!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

What a beautiful week Sveta! #2 and #3 are making my heart go pitter-patter!

  • Heather replied 11 years ago

Sveta, dear lady, you are BEAUTIFUL. <3 it all! Best of luck with NAS!!!

  • kellygirl replied 11 years ago

You are like a breath of fresh air. Every one of these is a knock out. I absolutely love this set and am going to favorite for inspiration. 3,4,5 are my absolute faves. SO pretty, Sveta!

  • Sveta replied 11 years ago

    Thank you gals!
Looks like my semi-tuck in #5 was not a complete failure after all - it is a relief.

  • sarah replied 11 years ago

Sveta, these are all FABulous! I love them all, but 1, 3, 4, and 5 are my absolute faves. I love the coral tops with the black and white skirts - that is such a pretty combination, in both of the renditions. Well done! And I'm glad kitty is A-OK.

  • marianna replied 11 years ago

Gorgeous looks. I really like your casual clams outfit.

Did you place your NAS order?

  • rae replied 11 years ago

The shirt/skirt formula rocks on you! Everything looks so nice. My favorite is the blue denim clams, though. The semi-tuck is great on you, the repeating pattern of the dots and studs is so cool, and the length on the jeans is super flattering. They look amazing on your long legs.

  • Lyn D. replied 11 years ago

I love pic #5 because I am a casual jeans wearer. The spots and stripes combo is Fab and the clams perfect.
    Everything else is gorgeous too!

  • Sveta replied 11 years ago

Thank you all for the comments! Actually #5 was my favorite too for the week and it is nice to know I was not kidding myself.
Marianna, I did! I have placed 3 orders around 6AM on Wednesday and 1 order at 7PM on Wednesday. All my morning orders are already delivered but the order I made in the evening of the same day has not been even shipped yet. Interesting...

Gorgeous outfits. I really appreciate the little unexpected suprised in your outfits Sveta. The belt in#2, the shoes and bag in #3, the shoes in#4, the pattern mixing in #5 and the great shoes again in #6. They are not the obvious choices and they just make all your outfits 10's.

  • replied 11 years ago

Yay, I always love seeing your outfits! These are all so great, it's hard to pick a favorite, but you are a cute '50's bopper in that polka dot skirt, and that coral shirt is so fab on you!

So happy kitty is better!!! My kitties send friendly purrs to Winnie, Pooh, and the other one! hee, sorry don't know that name -- one of my uncles once sent a Christmas card with all my siblings' names "and the little one" -- me.

  • JennyAnne replied 11 years ago

I confess I didn't read everything, but I love 1 and 6. Those shoes in 6 make my heart go pitter patter. #5 makes my casual-styled self excited. You look fantastic and put together!

  • nicoleb replied 11 years ago

These are great but #3 and #5 are my favorites for sure!

Glad your kitty is doing better too!

  • Sunita replied 11 years ago

Oh wow Sveta! Outstanding. #1 is my fave because it's been awfully hot here and that outfit is so crisp and visually cooling...aah!

Also love 3 (retro chic!), 5 (those pants are great and love the semi-tuck), and 6 (lovely color combo)!

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

Love it all! Especially #1, #3 and #5.

You have KILLER style, Sveta. I hereby crown you Queen Sassy. Wave to Kyle - our other Queen Sassy :)

  • Jjsloane replied 11 years ago

Taking notes on #5 - it's my favorite of the week and I plan to copy it!

  • Kyle replied 11 years ago

Sveta, I LOVE outfit 1. That blouse is divine on you. I have something similar and need to wear it soon (thanks for the inspiration as always).

The polka dot skirt is so fun--I also admire your polka dot dress with the denim vest, as you know, and I've already copied it! I did not recall that you had a white denim jacket (I have one, too). Aren't they great to pop on to most any outfit?

Your pattern mixing skills are honed to perfection. Love the stripes and scarf combo in 5, and the pop of color you added with the bag is just right. You must be turning heads everywhere as you walk to and from work.

I could not be happier to share the sassy crown -- you have been inspiring me for years.

  • Jonesy replied 11 years ago

What a spectacular week! You are looking so polished and crisp and chic, despite the crazy heat. I think the semi-tuck is a smash success! Also love the polka dot skirt look! But they all look really fab.

  • Kari replied 11 years ago

#5 is on my Pinterest inspiration board now. :) I think that's something like 3 of your outfits within the last month!

  • texstyle replied 11 years ago

#5 was a stand out ot me! You're looking so chic!

  • Kiwichik replied 11 years ago

Sveta you look great in all these posts but like Kari I think #5 is inspirational.

  • jayne replied 11 years ago

Loved #1 and 5. You look super slender and fit in the 5 photo! You have styled all these well.

  • Melissa replied 11 years ago

Hi Sveta! New here, so just my two cents... Sveta, you look Svelte in photo 1. You nailed the sexy feminine/masculine look. Love the fit of your pieces, love your choice of bag too. You look cool, chic, effortless, and confident...a quadruple threat...(How do you feel about swanky necklace bling with this look too?) Double points for a smart summer look, triple points for your white trousers! I also think you look fantastic in ensemble 3, with and without jacket. Not sure if your top is more rosy or crimson, but Sveta, THAT IS YOUR COLOR. YOU OWN THAT COLOR. You look beautiful in that color. Love your skirt and entire ensemble. Again, great fit and proportions and love love this look for being bold and playful, classic, and confident. Just my favorites this week and my two cents.

  • Ornella replied 11 years ago

Sveta! I so look fwd to your weekly summaries.

    You. Can. Do. No. Wrong!!!

I love how all outfits seem to be from the very small color palette, just lovely.

I haven't seen the skirt in #4 before, it's gorgeous.

And I especially love outfit #5.

    ~

    Wow, just wow.

  • Amy replied 11 years ago

3 and 5 are super fantastic!

  • DeniseP replied 11 years ago

These are great, and you are such an inspiration to me!

I just ordered the BR blue button-down since it always looks sharp in your posts!

Love the belt in #2 and your yellow and white oxfords always add a punch.

I think you look wonderful in all colors, too. Do you prefer a particular one?

  • Sveta replied 11 years ago

Thank you for your kind comments!
Deborah, I like your little analysis of my outfits.
Alicat, haha -the little one! Her name is Tigra and she is a real little rogue!
Angie, I had to look up what sassy really means and this is what I found:
    1. Rude and disrespectful; impudent.
    2. Lively and spirited; jaunty.
    3. Stylish; chic
    I hope you did not meant #1 - I will take #2 and 3 any time! :-)
Kyle, did you post that polka dot outfit- I would love to see it.
Melissa, welcome to the forum! That was quite a comment, thank you. The shell in #3 is pretty bright fuchsia, I really like this color but don't have much of it in my wardrobe. I would not mind to add it though...
Denise, I really like deep colors like teal, cobalt, amethyst purple and red. I don't look that good in very bright "neon" colors and also in pastels. Cannot wait to see BR shirt on you - I love mine!

  • JulieJohn replied 11 years ago

Sassy def #1 - you could take impudent which means cheeky and is a fun word. Like a rule breaker. I love all your outfits, and am inspired by your clean lines.
