Unsuccessful shopping after a long working weekend :-(

I popped into mall yesterday to check out Gap denim biker jackets (Angie, what are you doing to my NAS diet!!!)  and of course I could not pass Danier store without checking it out.   This time I decided to check the bags.
I am not a bag lady. I can appreciate how a bag adds to the outfit but I am too lazy to switch my stuff from one bag to another every day. Saying this I wanted to add a white bag for summer (and maybe beyond) because I am on the white kick lately.
Danier has several nice white bags but this one called my name. It has a soft leather, minimal hardware and simple satchel design which really spoke to me. It was also on sale from $225 to $99 so it came home with me.
Alas when I came home I realized that it will not work for my lifestyle. I carry lunch to work every day. I don't like to carry a handbag AND a lunch bag so my handbag should be big enough to fit my lunch - and this white beauty is not <sob>
I am returning this bag with  broken heart. It does not work for work and I don't have a need for a new bag outside of work. Instead I am thinking that maybe my ideal white bag is a tote where I can fit my lunch easily?

Then I went to Costco for groceries and found these beautiful Hilary Radley silk shirts there. The fabric is gorgeous, washable and wrinkle resistant and colors are vibrant without being neon brights. I could not decide between blue and orange so I bought both to try at home. They did not have size L so I hoped M may work.
Well it did not. There is a very slight pulling across the chest and armholes are cut too high. I hope they may get size L this week so I am going to check them out but size M will go back.
Now in case size L is there and fits well - what do you think of the color and style? I don't have anything in this orange shade - is it too bright for me? Also this blue is lighter than cobalt I usually like, it is closer to royal blue I think so I am not sure it works for me either.
What do you think?

Oh! Too sad about the bag. It's beautiful.

Te shirts are lovely on you! I need I see if my Costco has them this weekend!

You look fab in blue and orange! Totally caught my eye.

Too bad about the bag. I did get a white shopper (with brown bottom and handle's) for my mother for Mother's Day at the magic $99 price. It was leather, and surprisingly light. (Winners.) I hear you about the lunch bag...I toss mine in my sports bag, but that is still 2 bags to tote.

Love both the blue and the orange on you. The orange slightly more, but think both could get a lot of wear this summer. Get both.

The minimalist style you are sporting is very appealing, and clean. Love the pants and matching neutral shoes. Wowsa for the long leg line.

I saw these shirts at my local Costco and they are fantastic. I so badly wanted the blue one but couldn't reconcile it with my life style as a WAHM. I love both of them for you. They usually restock the sizes part way through the travelling show. Ceit - check on line to see when the items are in your area. Last week they had Josef Seibel here.

Sveta disappointing about the bag but I am sure a better sized one will come along.  Re the tops, they are gorgeous. I don't know if our Costco has clothing but I really must plan a visit one day.  Anyway, I think the orange is stunning on you.  The blue is ok but I don't think it's quite 'your' blue.

Love both colors of the top on you, and would definitely try to find the right size.  Sorry to hear about the bag, but I am sure you will find the right one.

Thanks! I am returning the bag, after seeing pictures I also think it is too small for my frame. I definitely need bigger satchel.
I am going to check Costco tomorrow for size L. I am leaning towards keeping the orange and returning the blue in this case. As Deborah said it is nice but not quite my blue.
Deborah, our Costco stores have these travelling events when they bring some brand in for a couple of weeks and then it is gone to another store. Some stuff is pretty interesting so I always check them out - and you cannot beat the prices!

Too bad about the bag but definitely no point in keeping it if it isn't practical for your lifestyle.

LOVE the orange top on you - it would look gorgeous with white trousers.

Oh, Sveta, the tops are gorgeous!! LOVE the orange, especially, for you. I do hope it comes in your size.

Agree absolutely that you need a larger bag. Sad about that, too.

Don't you hate when this happens... I would pick the orange top and sure the white bag will come - the LOOK works for you.

So sorry about these shopping misadventures!
Firstly, the bag is ever so cute, and suits you so well. Aren't you sure you won't find a use for it, other than your week wear?
As for the shirts, return ASAP. Orange looked nice though. Costco is frustrating this way in terms of sizes. I share sorrow on this with you, even if my size is not the same, they never seem to have it!

Aww, too bad about the bag. It's very nice, but I can understand if it doesn't suit your lifestyle there's not much point to keep it. I have a couple
Purses that don't get used much because of this ;)

I think the orange looks great on you!

    *sobbing with you*

I take full responsibility for breaking your NAS diet.

The blouses are gorgeous. Have you done the sit down test? The red is a little tight under the arm and side bust - but that could be because your arm is making it pull that way in the photo. Make sure you so the sit down test :)

Sveta, I love this orange shade on you and the shirts are gorgeous. If they were not sleeveless, I would have gotten on for myself.
Too bad about the bag. I usually carry a handbag and a lunch box to work as my lunch/snacks don't fit into any of my bags.

Looks like orange color is a winner. Fingers crossed it gets re-stocked in size L today.
Angie, this is size M and it is cut too close under arms for me - therefore slight pulling and slight discomfort as well. I definitely need to try size L - I don't even need to do a sit down test :-) BTW I remember you said orange is harder to  style with other colors...should I still go for it? What do you think?
Krish, my bag needs are 80% for work so this is what I need to splurge on. Anyway after looking at the picture I think I need a bigger size satchel for my frame - and magically it will fit my lifestyle also! :-)
Mona, there were some sleeved silk blouses too, you may want to check them out.
Suz, I am glad you like the tops <wink>.
