I understand what are pastel colors (and that I don't have many of them in my closet) but I am struggling to distinguish mid-tones from non-neon brights. I have several summer items I am not sure about - can you help?

I m not sure about the yellows, but for the rest I would guess the following:

1. coral dress - mid-tone
2. purple dress - mid-tone as well
3. lilac shirt - pastel
4. blue jacket - mid-tone (a bright would be a shade like cobalt or royal blue) -
Thanks Tanya, this is what I thought too. I guess this lilac is the only pastel I have because it is the only pastel I can wear well.

1 coral: mid tone bordering bright (there is white mixed in, but not a lot)
2 purple: borderline bright on my monitor
3 lilac: mid tone bordering pastel (medium white amount, I'd say lavender is more pastel; like Ceit's new blazer)
4 blue: mid tone
5 yellow: saturated muted :) -

I'm as good as colourblind when it comes to colour groupings. However, I agree with MaryK wholeheartedly. These are some pretty darn gorgeous outfits.

Liz, these are Hush Puppies from last year. This year they have new colors but with tan instead of white so I like them less: HP Dancers
