High treason in the realm of Urban Prince!

Not a day passed since our Ruling Urban Prince Angie graciously accepted me into her domain and I think I committed a high treason to this noble kingdom.
I fell in love with almost all of those looks from Sarah Pacini site:
http://www.sarahpacini.com/en/.....all-looks/

For my excuse I must say that I was browsing for inspiration for outfits with tall boots and skinnies as I don't feel inspired towards them this season. Let me say that I found this inspiration in spades there!

I don't know how to call this style. It is too layered to fit my usual preference of "simple and strong" outfits but I am strangely drawn to these looks. Although dark and muted palette keeps it simpler that if it was a riot of colors but still... I think I would not like these layered looks if they were more colorful...)
So I tried to use them as inspiration for today's outfit. Of course I don't have anything so gorgeous in my closet and don't look as stunning and slender as this model so this is my 'poor prince' substitute.

Forgive me, noble and gentle Urban Princes for I have sinned...

...but now I have my travel practical capsule with skinnies and tall boots inspired and visualizing in my head!

You look spectacular, Sveta! I like your interpretation , and I think it looks great on you. Let the treason commence!

Oooh I like that look a lot -- I can see knighting this up a little -- that grey wrap tunic with cowl is amazing!

I like your version a lot too! Maybe more Urban Lady Prince?

I love Sarah Pacini - beautiful linens & knits. Welcome to the dark side, you look amazing:)

Sveta, you have the elegant lines to make this bold style work. Whatever it's called, it still looks Princely royal

  • kellygirl replied 11 years ago

I love your interpretation. You nailed it and look so fab!

  • jen replied 11 years ago

    So stylish :)

  • JulieJohn replied 11 years ago

I'm sure the other princes won't fault you when they see how fab you look. Maybe you can be a prince(ss). You sure rock that outfit something fierce.

  • Isis replied 11 years ago

Love this, Sveta! Don't know what to call this sophisticated outfit, but I do know that YLF!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

I'm sure all will be forgiven Sveta because you look absolutely STUNNING in this! Seriously. I adore the tonal colour combination and sleekness, while still being textural. Must find a way to copy this...

  • rae replied 11 years ago

Love this and totally want to copy!

  • Vildy replied 11 years ago

wow, thank you so much for bringing this line to our awareness. You completely pull it off. I agree with you about the same thing done in lots of color not being the same. Would lack the smoldering passion. This lookbook is like a textbook in how to smolder in an intellectual way.

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

Instead of executions, I am here to reassure you that you have in fact not committed high treason because Urban Princes are EQUAL parts Ladylike and Tomboy. Your outfit is still 100% Urban Prince and you look amazing :)

(Remember that this Urban Prince can be very ladylike too. I bring you Exhibit A).

Oh my!! Sveta, I bow before you!! You have not abdicated. You have merely shown us a prince's inherent elegance! LOVE this look. And I also love this designer. How did you happen upon her? This stuff looks PERFECT for you, and I must say I completely fell in love with all these looks even though I know it is too dark for me and mostly I would be overwhelmed in the pieces due to lack of height. Is it possible to buy this in Canada? Absolutely stunning stuff!

I am so relieved Angie said a prince can wear such robes.

  • Sveta replied 11 years ago

Thank you all for sharing my love!:-)
Angie, I bow to my Ruling Prince! Actually I did not mean the treason because of the skirt but because these outfits read less minimal and streamlined to me than what I think UP is, especially in lush layering.
Vildy, I think this look works because extravagance of lush textures and layers is countered with tonal and muted color scheme. Something opposite to having bright colors in simple designs to avoid overpowering.
Suz, one word - Pinterest. I pinned this image from Rae's board:

and them went to explore and found Sarah Pacini site. There is one store in Canada - in Montreal. I think we should plan that YLF outing to Montreal so we can go play in this store, don't you think? As for being dark for you - I think the main thing is to keep the color palette simple and tonal but it does not need to be black. She has some taupe, bronze, purple, rust and metallic shades as well. As for being overwhelmed - maybe you can scale the things down for yourself but follow the spirit? Anyway, this lookbook gives me a lot of food for inspiration and can revive my skinny/boots relationship - just what I need when winter has turned for real!

Sveta I am glad you have received the royal nod for your outfit, because it is simple, strong and stunning!

  • Krista replied 11 years ago

I love this outfit, Sveta! Verrrrrrrry sleek.
And if you and Suz decide to check out Sarah Pacini in Montreal, you must make arrangements to pick me up on the way - you're practically driving through Ottawa.... :)

Ooh la! Love this look AND the Sarah Pacini website. This is artistic/eclectic/modern at its best. Thanks for passing on the inspiration! I imagine you'll come up with some new pairings that will be every bit as fab as this one.

I can see why you are so inspired by these looks, it is the epitome of elegance. This style is showcased perfectly on your tall frame. You nailed the look and I hope you try to emulate some of the other outfits as well. Totally suits you!

  • annagybe replied 11 years ago

    I love this look!

  • Debbie replied 11 years ago

I love this. You look fab.

  • Day Vies replied 11 years ago

Sleek, simple, chic I LOVE this (even though I am a devotee of color and shine). I also love simple strong lines and texture (which provides the much needed eye candy when color is in a hiatus).

I'm not UP but I am sure you won't get kicked out of the kingdom for looking so fabulous.

  • L'Abeille replied 11 years ago

    Oh Sveta I am drooling.

    1. You've captured the essence perfectly.

    2. I love all the looks. Now I want to go play in my closet.

    3. Tell me when you're all going to Montreal!

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Yes, welcome to the dark side. I would wear this in a heartbeat Sveta and in fact I just might see what I can pull together. This look suits you to perfection. I think you might be entering the realm of the Elegant Eclectic :)

Edit; Sveta I have just browsed her site and I am totally enamored. Now to find out how to get these beautiful pieces in Oz!

  • Hil replied 11 years ago

Sveta - this is a fantastic outfit on you! Absolutely amazing! And I love your hair!!!

  • Kristin L replied 11 years ago

    You look great Sveta!

  • Jamie replied 11 years ago

Ok, now I've got to run to catch up with you, Sveta - gorgeous outfit! FWIW, I see UP all over this look. I think I stray sometimes from my UP tendencies, too, because I wear outfits that are more ladylike than masuline. Good to know that's ok!!!

  • rute replied 11 years ago

I love your interpretation! fabulous looks, they fit into your simple and strong style!

  • Classically Casual replied 11 years ago

Thank you for the link to her site!! I love it all. And I can imagine a lot of it in shades of grey rather than black. It's probably a good thing she doesn't ship to the U.S.....but what fun inspiration.

  • Carole replied 11 years ago

Fantastic outfit, Sveta! I can see why you are drawn to this designer, very elegant and modern. Thanks for sharing the link!

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

I love this! Does a Prince ALWAYS have to wear pants? I don't think so!

  • moira replied 11 years ago

If loving this is wrong, I don't wanna' be right.

  • jayne replied 11 years ago

Sveta, I just felt it was 'you' when I looked at the inspiration site. Some element does repeat from the outfits you post, so enjoy exploring a new option!
