Danier: I need to look away!

...but it is SOOOO hard when I see this beautiful mixed media coat - in INK  wool and black leather!  I SO WANT it! But the only coat I really need this year is a new puffer and money is short...but this is so beautiful!!!!
Need to stay strong!

On the other hand it is good that this flared skirt comes in black only: if it was available in cognac or burgundy or some other color I would be so tempted...but I am safe with black! :-)

Love that jacket! Might just be the right combination of pea jacket and moto jacket - both on my wish list!

It is beautiful - but you can stay strong :)

Oh, Sveta, the enabler in me wants to say: perhaps wait a while until the jacket goes on sale. Maybe you can fit it in then in addition to the puffer?
I hear you on the skirt, so that will be easier:-)

Stay strong, my friend, let's first focus on finding you a fabulous puffer:-)

That jacket is really amazing. Usually the most stylish items don't have thinsulate like this one does. Maybe you could do the Swedish guy thing and wear a puffer vest as an extra layer underneath the stylish coat?

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

That jacket is fantastic. It is too similar in vibe to my Vince Camuto mixed media colourblock pea coat for me even to think about it....and yet i am definitely planning to try it on.

Inge, guess what? It is ALREADY on sale!! $100 off regular price....and a good deal for what it is.

Ummlila, not to be an enabler on my own side, but Danier is a great source for winter wear. Being Canadian, they get the need for linings...

Danier always seems so beautiful and always seems to offer such great sales!!!! $100 off seems worth a second look, Sveta. I can totally see you in that stunning coat.

Oooh that is a beauty. The way the colour flips up would keep the wind and cold getting down the back of your neck too. Luckily the colour scheme, which I love in theory, is totally overwhelming/unflattering one me. If it were brown and blue, I'd be in trouble.
I'm a little disappointed in their limited colour scheme so far this fall, actually. The only warm colour is the port, which is beautiful but again, too dark and shiny for me. I'd have a hard time resisting something in dark red with a more matte finish. Well, I tried on a lot of overwhelming pieces before I found my blush moto there. I guess it's a good thing, financially, that I probably have to be patient again to find the perfect fall/winter piece.

I knew you would understand and commiserate! :-)
Suz, it is on sale with $150 off - down to $350 from $500.  I also immediately thought about your VC pea coat and for some reason I thought you were looking to replace it.. <nudge>.
I am definitely  going to try it on when it hits the stores - I have not seen it last week. It is so weird - the items are not in the stores yet and already on sale!
I secretly hope it does not fit right or the quality is not great because then I can forget about it.
On the other hand if the lining is good and warm maybe it can serve more like a winter coat...would definitely look better that the puffer, right?
Maybe I can ask for it as a BD present from all my family...that's a thought!
Umilla, this is a great thought about a vest or other layer underneath. It can definitely work for my black man coat either and extend it usefulness for colder days.
Inge, I knew you would understand...:-)

Jules, the problem is that this is a PERFECT color scheme for me so I am in trouble :-) But you are right they definitely skew cool  tone this year.

  • Jules replied 9 years ago

Oh I don't take their "original" prices very seriously anymore - they seem to be always discounting. The "sale" prices seem amazing for the quality though.

Ohmygawdthatskirt!   That skirt!   I am dying here.

That coat is a stunner, too.   I am thinking we need to work out all the 'extreme couponing' ways to get that coat into your closet (and maybe that skirt into mine) for a lot less money :D

  • jackiec replied 9 years ago

    Worth a try on..... :)

  • lyn67 replied 9 years ago

Oh, so happy we don't have Daniers here:-))))

  • Thistle replied 9 years ago

    That coat is STUNNING!

So, so, so glad there are no Daniers here. And so is my clothing budget. ;)

Strong, stay strong. You can do it!

  • Sveta replied 9 years ago

LBD, the skirt will be on sale in 6 weeks or so (enabling) :-)

  • deb replied 9 years ago

I am sooooo..... glad Danier is in Canada and not here.

  • Joy replied 9 years ago

Wow! Could that wool and leather coat be warm enough that you wouldn't need the puffer?

  • Laura replied 9 years ago

I love that jacket and the skirt!!!!! Both look so chic ..... can you get one at Danier and get the second item from a less pricy place?

  • Gigi replied 9 years ago

I'm dying with regard to the skirt too. Absolutely gorgeous. But it looks like it's almost sold out—there's only size 6 left. Lucky for me that's not my size, so I don't have to be tempted!

  • Caro in Oz replied 9 years ago

    What deb said :)
That coat looks perfect for you - sorry.
